Also, I'm not sure if this counts as a "technical issue," but there are a number of releases with weird subtitle problems, such as:

WHALE RIDER - Missing almost all of the original burned-in subtitles for the Maori dialogue (they're not even included on the English subtitle track). There were only a handful of lines originally subtitled, but one was a fairly important bit of dialogue near the end, and it's missing here.

DANCES WITH WOLVES (Steelbook) - Default subtitle track on the theatrical cut (for the Sioux dialogue) inexplicably includes the title at the beginning, and the closing epilogue text (both already in English). So both are shown on the screen twice at the same time. (Minor thing, but how in the world did that get past QC? ) Also, I think the regular subtitles might translate more of the Sioux dialogue than the original theatrical subtitles did (but not sure).

BEAUTY AND THE BEAST (2014) and LONG WAY NORTH - Both are French-language films that have only an English SDH track, which includes sound FX descriptions, etc. Does anyone know of any other foreign-language films Shout has released that also have this issue?

Talk about some shotty QC. It's one thing to screw up encoding, but to leave an entire bonus feature off is pretty bad.

I would assume at this point you would just need to buy a standalone BD of Part 4, I don’t see any other option.

2021 update, though if the issue was just poor compression then I left it off

I ended up deleting a couple that weren't necessarily their fault (like Platoon) and I also updated a few previous entries that have since had other solutions/fixes pop up for them
