So I'll temper my enthusiastic anticipation for now. If it's one of the many porn titles, well, you can get more than your ... fill ... of that via the Stewardesses disc and its ... extensive ... extras. |

Yes, my apologies for overlooking that VS teased a horror title.
Well they can count on my $$. If it's any of the titles rumored here (especially the wonderfully wild-ass insane Flesh for Frankenstein) I'd pay a handsome premium for a 3D blu. And I'll bet VS did well with Silent Madness, which was handsomely restored -- so it would be a smart move for VS to do more Silver-Age 3D horrors if they maintain that kind of quality standard. VS, you will have more of my $$! |

I listed a bunch of options in the Vinegar Syndrome thread of what it might be. I honestly think it's either Flesh For Frankenstein (which I don't consider landmark but others disagree) or Dawn of the Dead (which of course is a cinematic landmark but the 3D is converted, although rather well done supposedly, but seems odd they would release it when Second Sight was unable to). I actually hope it's DotD since I don't care for Flesh For Frankenstein, but no matter what it is I plan on getting it. I think adding the 3D for a Dawn release would help compete with the Second Sight release, which many have already imported, making a region A release all the more difficult considering how much the producer wants for the rights. |

I hope it is Rottweiler. But whatever it is, I'll buy it!
Btw, the just released Emmanuelle 1-4 box has part 4 in anaglyphic 3D. So could Vinegar released it in real 3D?... https://shop.kochfilms.de/de/emmanue...rays-bonus-dvd |

They did a new 4K scan of the OCN and released it anaglyph? That's dumb.

I have to say that this unreleased 3D Dawn of the Dead is very intriguing. I didn’t realize it had ever been converted.
Regardless, 3D horror is one of my favorite genres for the format and I haven’t seen a lot of the possibilities listed here… oh the anticipation! |

All of your points are good, tho... I'd be disappointed if it was Amity 3D - I can't imagine them releasing a 4k scan of that paired with the 3D. Look boss, the grain! The grain!! |

If it's a horror film from the 70s or 80s probably one of the following:
FRANKENSTEIN'S BLOODY TERROR (1968) - January 1972 ANDY WARHOL'S FRANKENSTEIN - May 1974 ROTTWEILER aka DOGS OF HELL - March 1983 TALES OF THE THIRD DIMENSION - April 1984 |

I believe Dawn of the Dead (1978) is the most plausible candidate. A UHD has already been released in the UK. A 3-D master (conversion) already exists. No scanning would need to be done. All Vinegar Syndrome would have to do is author each master onto a disc and release it.
