Here's what I came up with doing a quick google....

"This was to be a pilot for a series for an at-home 3D system. There were several pilots of different genres made."

Originally released in 1991 (then re-released in 1993).

Without having seen it, The Hidden Jungle sounds like it would make an incredible VS 3D release, complete with the poster above of the Space Shuttle crashing into the jungle lol;

Dr. Beverly Owens (Charity Merrill) survives a space shuttle crash landing in an African terrorist nation unfriendly to the United States. She is taken prisoner by Akmed Najah (Charles Charpiot) who seeks to use a new satellite's plutonium payload as material for a nuclear weapon. The U.S. President (Warren Chaney) sends covert CIA operative Bill Murphy (William Brown) to ask aerial flight ace Zach Taylor (Chuck Stockdale) to lead a secret in-country search and rescue effort.

Maybe it's just because I know this was shot in 3D, but it seems like the scene with the kids on the bikes would have strong 3D. The two kids in the front seem to pop a bit even with this bad video lol

Interesting find. I was unaware of these films. There aren't many 3D films from the 90s, outside of Imax and themepark films. The main ones I was aware of are The Creeps and Run for Cover.

I can't seem to find any other confirmation that these were shot in 3D. I don't like to be sceptical, but I'm not entirely convinced.

Perhaps we can hire Warren Chaney and find out the real story. Trouble is ...it may be $8-15,000! http://superbspeakers.com/speaker_listing.asp?sid=169

He's also pretty active on Facebook

Emmanuelle 4

Tales of the Third Dimension

I'd give anything for "The Man Who Wasn't There".

Okay, 10 to go (conceivably, if the original film elements of the others are still available).

Getting closer!

Let's not forget a couple more worth-it 3D features from the 80's that could pop out, like Tiger Man, or if it would magically show up Rock and Roll Hotel.

And some 10+ foreign feature films, French, German, Chinese, Indian, Japanese and Russian, and a couple of X-ish rated ones as well, many of which show up in this list:

List of 3D films by date

Have you seen the film? Terrible movie, terrible reviews, probably the worst 3D movie ever made with no pop-outs and no depth.

I have!

Problem is, I don't remember it.

But I'd buy it on 3D Blu in a heartbeat!
