It takes forever to register so I decided to just connect and it said it couldnt be established... wtf

I think it runs just fine. This is my first SOCOM game and it is pretty cool.

It flashed green twice and then went solid red but it says scanning still.

you should NOT be scanning for devices when you plug it in... it will automatically discover the device.. make sure you have any existing bluetooth headset deleted.. and do not scan.. just plug it in.

when it is solid red, it means its charging or fully charged... if it flashed green twice unplug it, turn it on, and then press the volume button and it should pop up on the screen.

I'm doing everything you said and nothing popped up. This is the most ridiculous BS I've ever had to go through to get something work. Do I connect afterwords? I just plugged it in last time and when I got on Socom my headset Icon wasnt showing at all.

go to the accessory menu, and make sure you have it outputting to the mic, and not on system default device.. usually that is the problem..

it really is not that hard to set up... just be patient..

You can be anywhere in the XMB. Forget how you connect other headsets.

Connect the headset to the PS3 with the USB cable, once the LED goes green for a couple of seconds you're done. It's paired.

mine didn't.. for some odd reason.. cause if its not there.. then its not set up right..

I just deleted it... Plugged it in and it flashed green twice then turned a solid red. Are you sure that when its solid red its ready to go? Wouldnt it be green for it being charged? Maybe thats my problem.

Yeah, last night the stuff was messed up.

I ended up playing for hours on a ranked game and it did start when most greened up. However, the problem was non-ranked.

Also, the mute option wasn't showing up for me, just profile.

And finally, I did make a private game (1st thing I did), but it would not launch with just me in it. Is there a trick?

mine is always red while charging... are you doing it through the base or just the mic?

So it shows up in your bluetooth devices?

If so go to the acccessory part where you select your input and output device and change it to that accessory, then just turn it on and it should work..

1. I had a hard time figuring out who was on my team for the first couple of games. I didn't realize that people without a name on top are bad guys. Being a Warhawk player, I was waiting for my scope to red up. This is more realistic.

2. If you're a CoD player, you should stay there. Socom isn't CoD just like CoD isn't Warhawk.

3. Graphics are about an 8 to me. I'm satisfied. I played a lot of maps and there were all sorts of stuff. I don't know any of the maps yet, but I did get lost on one with a tunnel.

This game isn't going to baby the player (from what I've seen). You won't have all the enemies showing up on a HUD and you won't get big "SHOOT HIM" signs over an enemy. And you won't get auto locks so all you need to do is push the L1 button.

If you can't aim and shoot right, you can't kill. Found this out many times last night when I was trying to play like Warhawk where I'd just hold down the fire button (as the gun scope went all over).

When I go there the input decive is wireless headset and the output device is wireless headset. Do I need to connect both of them?
