There are definitely users who consistently bash OLED. When something is expensive, there will always be those who bash a product they can’t afford in order to make themselves feel better about what they have. Apple iPhone is a good example and Samsung owners are classic suspects.
With OLED prices decreasing, this will become less of an issue. Envy. |

I know. You’re a Sony fanboy. So you’ll be getting the A9F (equivalent to C8). But I honestly can’t justify your LG hate. Modern LG TVs are absolutely fantastic and C8 wipes the floor with ZD9. I have a similar hate towards Samsung, but that certainly is justified.

I think my 940 is said to be close in PQ, just far less dimming zones, and older processor so no DV...the latter disappointed me. $7K, clearanced half that. |

Couple this with OLED burn-in, and potentially you have an issue. I certainly wouldn't trust them to help if I bought an OLED and it got burn-in even with appropriate careful use. Third party insurance is the only way to go as they don't give a damn once they have your money. |

![]() I'm just saying that in my own experience, LG have shite customer service and I would recommend anyone wanting to spend a fair bit on one take out some insurance to cover themselves because LG certainly won't. If you were unlucky enough to get OLED burn on one of their TVs I can pretty much guarantee they'd try and blame the customer to get out of any sort of repair or replacement. |
