Steelers ILB Ryan Shazier (back surgery) has been discharged from the hospital.

Shazier made the announcement in a social media post. He is moving on to outpatient therapy. Shazier still has a long way to go, but seems to be making steady progress. He is two months removed from his frightening injury.

Correct, which is why I said "more successful" and not "most successful".

Don't worry the Pats fans will disappear after Brady and Belichek. They were nowhere to be found early 90s and before.

As am I (embarrassed that you are), seriously how are you NOT a Pats fan living in Maine! ?

Not this time. Having the greatest coach & player in NFL history, will go a LONG way the rest of my life. Even if they never reach the Superbowl again after they both are gone, it will still have been a great life knowing I was alive to see the very best the sport will EVER offer.

Will EVER offer? That statement is said at least once a decade. Cowboys, 49'ers, Steelers, Packers, Browns, Eagles, Bears. There will be a new one coming.

I actually felt bad for the pats in the Bears mauling of them in SB20. I've been a Steelers fan since I was 6. Saw the team logo sticker on a kids locker, thought it was cool, then I had my own team. My father being born in Maryland, was a Colts fan so I was as well up until that point. Not everyone in New England are pats fans.

I can respect not being a fan of them if your parents didn't root for them either. I guess it's just hard to fathom how any football fan who is born & raised here, even if they didn't necessarily grow up cheering for them, to not have adopted them as their team now with the extreme amount of success they have had, and not to mention how classy of an organization they are. Hard to not root for them.

They probably have the best ownership group in any major sport.

It’s a moot point with him Tyler, He doesn’t believe pats success is legit. 1st of all he will say the same he has already said here countless times, all their championships are tainted and only pats fans (bandwagon fans btw because there’s no true pats fans in existance anymore according to him) are fools to believe their not. definitely not a classy organization because after all, all they do is ‘cheat’ and lie about it to their teeth so how can they be classy ? Probably best ownership group in any major sport ? he would never ever agree on that, how can you be the best if you cheat ?

Thanks for putting sh!t in my mouth when I don't believe all that. I was having (or going to have) a decent discussion about the pats until you butted in with your drivel. Anyway, back in the day you only had certain teams on T.V. So every week it was the pats vs somebody. They were a very vanilla team, so usually every game was pretty close. I enjoyed the play of John Hannah, Andre Tippett, Rob Ninkovitch, Stanley Morgan, Irving Fryar, Jim Plunkett, Doug Flutie, Tony Eason, and Steve Grogan. Even though they weren't "my team" I still know lots of their history and some great moments. Of course, before the internet, you could talk Steelers Patriots without name calling and threatening. A much more simple and better time. Even when the pats beat the rams in the super bowl I didn't really care. I think what did it for me was all of the controversy that started to surround them. Then came the -gates. Then the excuses, and how everyone who believes in the controversies are just haters. It turned a lot of Pats fans from interesting discussion partners into arrogant blowhards with a self-defense complex. Winning a lot can bring out the worst in both sides. Who knows, when brady, bill & bob are gone things might start to calm down. It will be another teams turn to dominate. It won't be for 17 years though. Not every owner has the commish in their pocket. Not every team can get away with what the pats have done. I expect a lot of books and commentary to come out once those 3 are retired. Blind pats fans will ignore it, but it will be interesting for the rest of us. I wonder if this is what other teams felt like during the runs of the Celtics, Lakers, Yankees, and Canadiens. I doubt it though, because a lot of this was regional only because of the lack of much communication besides newspaper, radio & local T.V. And the fact that back then a lot of the population didn't have the time to invest as heavily into sports. Anyhow hopefully a decent discussion can be made between the rude interruptions tylerdurden10.
