Technically yes they were. I can gripe all i want about it. But they were ultimately the better team in the end. Doesn't matter what your winning record is in the season. All that matters is the Playoffs and beyond. Just ask the Patriots who lost their perfect season in the Superbowl to the Giants. The Giants will be known as the better team of the two since they won.

For all you know they could go a perfect season and get eliminated in the first playoff game.

Losing doesn't making you any lesser of a better team. Were just have to wait until the playoffs start and see if they're really the best team or not.
Instead of going into all the reasons your post annoyed me (because none of them actually have to do with you), I'll drop it. But who you lose to does say something about your team. Just ask the BCS.

So.... the Eagles are better than the Giants and the Falcons are better than the Eagles. Therefore, Falcons are better than Giants.

And I'll just this aswell. I just wanna say one thing though. You can still lose to the worst teams and go on to be in the playoffs and even win the Superbowl. Ask the giants from a couple years ago who made it as a Wildcard, or even people saying the Giants didn't deserve to win the SB. It doesn't matter to them, cause they actually did.

Hell for all we know the Falcons could lose every game for the rest of the season and not even make the playoffs. (It's a unlikely thing to happen) I'm just saying you don't need the best record to win the big win in the end. What were the Giants when they won a couple years ago? 8-8 I think? Or somewhere close around there. I hate to keep bringing up the Giants but they are one of the only times I can think of at the moment with a so and so record who ended up winning the SB.

I'll just say this, and I know this will really piss you off. How many Super Bowl championships do the Falcons have? and How many do the Giants have? Then who really is better.

Okay, keep telling yourself that while the Jets sit out the playoffs and watch the other teams. Not like Dirty Sanchez is any better. Jets be better off with Tebow at QB. I mean god forbid they actually win more then 3 games this year so far. But if Tebow was QB God wouldn't forbid it. He would encourage it.

And with that I've said my peace and now are going to bed.

It amazes me that anyone thinks that the Superbowl winner is always the best team.

I'd put money on it that if you played the playoffs twice you'd get a different winner 9 years out of 10. 999 out of 1000 in College Basketball.

Too much can happen in one game elimination formats.

Jerry Jones was locked out of the Cowboys locker room after last night's game. NBC5 anchor Matt Barrie tweeted:

Quote:
Jerry Jones just pounded locker room door because no one would let him in. It's the angriest I've seen him all year. #Cowboys
It's unknown if Jones was intentionally locked out by Jason Garrett or if it was just a mistake by the Falcons security.

I really cant blame the guy for fuming over another loss by the Cowboys. Maybe now he will see the light and fire that halfwit coach of his and pay the cash to bring in a high profile coach like a John Gruden or a Bill Cowher. Or maybe give Jimmy Johnson a call? All I can say is is that the season ended for the Cowboys last night.

Jimmy will never come back to the boys, Cowher or Gruden might but Jerry would have to give up to much control to get them to come. and im pretty sure Chower is still in the whole family mode thing.

Barring a total meltdown basically 10 of the 12 playoff spots are already set:

giants
bears
pack
falcons
49ers
pats
ravens
steelers
texans
broncos

& since 9 of those teams made the playoffs last year that would also mean only 3 new teams at most would make the playoffs this year blowing away the "at least 5 new teams each year" theory.
