NFL suspended Patriots RB Brandon Bolden four games for violating the league's policy on performance enhancing substances.
The ban kicks in immediately, per WEEI's Chris Price. Bolden was not expected to play this week anyway due to a knee injury. Bolden can be dropped in re-draft leagues. The Patriots will move forward with Shane Vereen and Danny Woodhead behind Stevan Ridley. Bolden, an undrafted rookie out of Ole Miss, rushed 43 times for 234 yards (5.4 YPC) and two touchdowns in the first six games.

We need to find a quarterback, but like Nix said this is a very weak quarterback class this year. I like McCaron a lot, but I'm not sure he will come out if he has an opportunity to win back to back to back national titles. Tyler Bray is really talented on a physical level, but his decision making is very suspect. I'm not sold on Barkley as an NFL quarterback either. Geno Smith would be good for the system we run, but I'm not sure Chan Gailey will still be our coach next year.

yeah but it didn't happen on Sunday Night Football which is probably the only reason they got away with it

In his new book, “Coaching Confidential: Inside the Fraternity of NFL Coaches,” New York Daily News columnist Gary Myers has some excellent nuggets about some of the best in the business.

There is a meaty chapter about the rise and (for now) fall of Saints coach Sean Payton. Some of it has to do with his arrogance, which contributed heavily to the bounty scandal.

There are also choice bits on Joe Gibbs, the relationship between Tony Dungy and Andy Reid, and also some interesting reading about coach/quarterback relationships between John Elway and Mike Shanahan, and Brett Favre and Mike Holmgren.

Tom Coughlin, Rex Ryan, John Fox, and Brian Billick are also covered in depth.

The book, which comes out Tuesday from Crown Publishing, has a behind-the-scenes, insider feel, so I recommend picking it up.

Myers also recounts an incident in 2004 when then-Jets coach Herman Edwards and defensive coordinator Donnie Henderson knew the Patriots were taping them in a game at Giants Stadium. They both waved at the cameras.

Kraft also told Myers that he confronted Belichick about the taping.

“How much did this help us on a scale of 1 to 100?” Kraft asked Belichick.

“One,” Belichick replied.

“Then you’re a real schmuck,” Kraft said he told Belichick.

This is a game where I don't think the Falcons are going to take their foot off the pedal like they have in most games. They're playing the worst defense in the league, and they have several things they are pissed off about. A) the Saints beating them in Atlanta a few years ago and some of the Saints allegedly pissing on the field, and B) the piling on the Saints did at the end of last year's game to ensure Brees set the passing yards record.

No games in my market today that I'm crazy about. I'm seriously considering NFL Sunday Ticket. Anyone know if the Online option is only available if you can't get DirectTV in your area, or can anyone get it regardless of DirecTV availability? I'm also curious if Online allows you to watch multiple games in multiple browser windows and/or multiple machines? That would be cool! Otherwise I guess PS3 is my only option - not that that's a bad thing.
