Damn, that's the second tragic NFL story in barely a week. First JAvon Belcher killed his girlfriend and himself and now this. RIP.

Funny they had the nubby punter from the vikings on espn radio and he said like every team has a driver program set up, he said they've got a number that the guy in charge of security will drive you and your car home no questions asked anytime, you just need to call

This guy gets zippy sympathy from me especially since I get hammered and can do it right. I do feel bad for the dude in the car.

Not trying to blame the victim but I've been out drunk with other drunk friends before and I've never allowed them to drive me home. There has to be some personal responsibility with these guys who decide to let their drunk friend drive them.

Falcons officials mentioned a similar program when Turner got his DUI earlier this year.

Reminds me of former Cowboys CB(I think his name was) Dwayne Goodrich driving home at 2 AM from a gentleman's club and running over 2 people on the side of the road. Got home and looked at his car and realized what he had done then turned himself in, think he's still in prison.

not trying to defend him, but one thing could be that he thought this was his DD? maybe he came and got him or thought he only had one or two and was fine?

either way, sad for the passenger who died. and i'm sure the driver will feel awful for the rest of his life - bad enough to have that happen and have you walk away when it's clearly your fault - but to know the person and go to school with them / be on the same team is just a bit colder.

hopefully he gets the help he needs (mentally) while serving time to help him cope with how severe his idiotic mistake was.

Holy s*** I didn't know RGIII only had 4 picks this year! *knocks on wood I don't jinx him* that is insane for a rookie! Add in that the Redskins have no running game (outside of RGIII) and a solid at best WR corps and that low number is ridiculously impressive.

On NFL network they were discussing Flacco vs RGIII. And honestly, I think if you put RGIII on a team like the Ravens - they'd be a perennial super bowl team. Put Flacco on the current Redskins and no way they are 6-6 right now.

RGIII is a special player. At least this year. Pretty sure most though the same thing about Cam Newton last year and look at him now. Lots of rookies gonna have big time expectations and pressure next year and a lot of guys take a step back in year 2 as teams figure out players better.

second worst d in the league too I wish they'd run plays to throw at cooley, but beyond Garcon they've got nothing I'd want if I was starting a team at WR/TE.

After last week, my faith in the Vikes has been shaken. I still can't get over how Peterson ran for 210 yards and we still lost.

It's snowing here today. Gonna brave the elements and pick up a Chicago style deep dish pizza-pie.

I don't know man, Morris is already over 1,000 yards. That's pretty damn good for a rookie.

Yeah but I don't think he does that without RG3 and the pressure that alleviates on the run game... I mean take AP's rookie year with 1300 yards he had Tarvaris Jackson, Holcomb, and Bollinger. I'm not saying Morris isn't special, its just I still think RG3 bares the brunt of having trash around him beyond Garcon, Williams (whose hurt ) and Morris.

I'd love to see Luck throw the picks he does with our defense he'd luck out (no pun intended) to win 4 games.
