That wouldn't be a stunning upset. A mild upset at best. Arizona beating the Patriots in New England earlier in the season was stunning, but not San Fran doing it.

No. I'd go with Kaepernick. He has far more potential.

It's like if they didn't want Smith they could have easily not resigned him. And just went from Kaep there. But when someone is doing good. and gets hurt for no reason of his own. He should get the job back.

What if at your job you got hurt. Then when you came back they said we gave your job to someone else we thought could do it better then you. What would your thoughts be on that? It just irks me in the wrong way it happen. Almost like a "Oh, you got hurt and now want your job back? Tough shit buddy, that's your lose"

I'd be pissed, but the company does what they think helps them. And they only resigned Smith because they couldn't get Manning.

A 9-win team winning an upset? Let alone a "world stunning upset"?

I haven't seen much from him. He was good in the game at the bears. Barely won at the saints due to our defense and scoring those two INTS for TD's. Otherwise we'd have lost. Against the rams and the end zone play that caused a safety and leading to a overtime lose. Not to mention barely beating the Dolphins. Nor knowing how to use the play clock and having to burn 4 timeouts so they wouldn't get called with a delay of game penalty.

Maybe I just like the underdog that's all and everything Smith went through to having the season he had last year and was so far this year.

But I'm gonna stick with them no matter what though.

This is a ridiculous argument. I'm not an athlete so I wouldn't expect to lose my job if I get hurt. That's how football works. You get hurt and you might lose your job. Are you saying the Patriots were wrong for not benching Brady once Drew Bledsoe was healthy to play?

NBC cut into football to show Obama's speech on Newtown? Seems like an odd business decision.

Bledsoe would have won 6 super bowls not 3.

I don't get that stuff either. These networks have proper channels for news events. Put it on MSNBC.

You mean if you lost your job over a injury that wasn't your fault, meaning you were a

Yeah, but they still had Kaep though. Why sign Smith again if they knew Kaep was gonna be the franchise QB? What just to keep him on the team so another rival team wouldn't pick him up and beat them later on?

But I think i'm done talking about this now.

There are actually multiple Hall of Fame (or will be) QBs who only got a shot because of an injury. Steve Young, Kurt Warner, Tom Brady, Ben Roethlisberger. Sure there are plenty more as well.
