the problem is that Aldon Smith is ineffective without Justin Smith. That's why we need Justin Smith to be 100%. Justin usually command double team against him on certain teams... When Justin was injured, Aldon had ZERO sack.

Most of these wild card games were atrocious

I really thought they'd put Cousins in after RG3 injured his knee again at the end of the first quarter. They had a 2 score lead so that would've been a good time to ease Cousins in.

Seems a little hypocritical to solely blame the coach when people seem to throw players under the bus for not playing with pain. One day it's oh what a wimp, this player should play through the pain (like when it came to Ponder or Cutler a few years ago) but when something bad happens playing with an injury it turns into how could you let him play, I hate you.

I know I never said anything about Ponder. Cutler got s* for his body language and sideline demeanor.

Coach needs to be looking out for the players when they won't look out for themselves. And I do agree he needs to be more aware of if he's hurting the team by staying in, but that's superstar ego and they all have it.

Cutler was a different story. It's his reactions/body language that always does him in. When he was pulled from that game with an injury he just sort stood/sat around on the sidelines with his head down as if he didn't care if his team won or lost.

Blu-Benny, are you as scared as I am? I know we won, but I'd feel a lot better if we could have scored more in that second half. I mean aside from the half-opening TD drive, we barely got any first downs. And dear God almighty, I hope this next game doesn't come down to Crosby. Although he's been kicking a lot better, I'm still not sure about him and have a feeling this one's going to be FG close.

Question wasn't towards me but I kinda feel the same. We can't let teams linger around especially like the 49ers. But if our Defense plays like they did on sat we will be fine

For sure dude. But I don't think this game is going to be anything other than close. You're right about our D though. If we could do what we did to AP, we can hold these jokers to something respectable. Protect ARodg!!!

I was just looking at sack numbers for the regular season and it was a joke. Our line surrendered almost 20 more sacks than the league average. Rodgers could help too. He has a tendency to sit back and wait for the home run play to develop when he could dump it off for an easy first down. He needs to get rid of the ball quicker.

Yeah man! Turnovers is what I want! I firmly believe this statement my friend said the other day about that week one game.

"49ers played their best football and we played like sh*t!"

And its true. Our D is healthy we now have a decent running game! Our offense is in sync, your right about Rodgers holding on too long BUT you gotta admit it's slightly better than trying to be a gunslinger...and risking an INT. Lol but as much as im nervous im confident THAT MUCH MORE they we will play better and give them more than they can probably handle. I keep telling my friends. They needed that bye more than we did.

I’m as nervous as I was when the Packers went into Atlanta back in 2010.

I just hope Rodgers turns into the ass-kicking QB from that game!!!

The problem w/Saturday nights game was that McCarthy didn’t keep his foot on the gas!!! He needs to play to the point of running up the score!!! There’s not reason to jump out to a 10-17 point lead and play it safe from that point on.

Look @ what happened w/that blown coverage TD Saturday night!!! 1 or 2 of those and the entire game ends differently!!!

I’m torn on the whole Rodgers taking off thing. I’d like to see him take fewer sacks but I hate watching him run w/a DB bearing down on him!!!

If we can get even 50-75 yards out of Harris, that will hopefully keep them honest enough to respect the run and open up some plays downfield!!!

Check downs and screens are going to be big this game!!

I was thinking the same thing! I felt coach was toning it down since Vikes weren't doing much but we cannot do that with SF!

About Rodgers scrambling. Agreed! I love to see him run out of the pocket but I do fear him getting hurt! Our o-line has to be aggressive and we may even bring in an extra TE to help protect THE MAN.

Must be nice to win a playoff game by 2 TD's and still be pessimistic. Just about every fan of every team would love to be in that position.
