We were awarded an extra 5th and 7th ronund picks!

We now have 11 picks, with multiple picks in the 2nd, 3rd, 5th and 7th rounds!

Just when you thought Favre and the Packers were about to get together, Favre helps Jennings sign with the Vikings.

[Show spoiler] story is probably exaggerated but so what

Drew Stanton will probably be the Cardinals QB next season, he had some good moments with the Lions and was one of the better backups in the league.

Adam Schefter ‏@AdamSchefter
Two of Bill Parcells' former teams, the Cowboys and Dolphins, will play the Hall-of-Fame game Sunday, Aug. 4.
This is the Cowboys second time playing in the last three Hall of Fame games (there was no game in 2011 due to the lockout) but they had requested to play in the game and since most teams don't want to play in the game and the Cowboys garner high ratings putting them in was a no-brainer. The Cowboys wanted to play in the game to get more game reps as they transition to a 4-3 defense and because former Cowboy Larry Allen is getting inducted into the Hall of Fame so there will likely be a lot of Cowboys fans in the area.

This may end up being the only game announced during the owners meeting. The NFL isn't going to announce the opening Thursday night game until they've got the scheduling conflict with the Orioles cleared up and from the sounds of it no resolution is imminent.

heard on the radio this morning that Mark Murphy.....the Packers President.....has every intention of making Rodgers the highest paid player in the league.

most likely won't happen until the fall......and according to him.....shouldn't be a problem coming up w/the money.

will be looking @ something like $50 million guaranteed!!!

Do you realize how much money the NFL makes in just one season?

Rodgers was #3 Behind only Manning and of course the wonderful RG3. I don't know how many they sell each year or what the split on sales is, but its safe to say they can recover his salary fairly easy. Especially if he plays well.

Til he ends up like Joe Theisman. Then what's going to happen?

Silly to give a guy $50 million dollars for throwing a football. Does that mean the guy that catches it should get $100 million for catching and running?

Can I get $50 million too for just thinking of stuff if I think I'm the best?

I'm sure they have insurance policies too. Take Andrew Bynum the leagues insurance is paying his salary.

it's b/c of players like Rodgers that the league is as popular and lucrative as it is.

If you think it's silly to give a guy $50 million for throwing a football, what do you think of baseball, basketball, and soccer players making even more for doing less impressive things (IMO) and not playing as tough of sports?

Baseball is a total joke IMO... and I played it for 8 years. No player deserves to make more than $1mil a year.

I think its a well established fact hitting a baseball at the MLB level is one of the hardest things in sports that said compared to the other leagues for the level of punishment the guys take they really do get the biggest shaft contract wise.
