The Ravens deserve every bit of failure they will encounter over the next several years. The Flacco deal was and is the dumbest contract in NFL history.

I don't know how it's structured, but I assume it's backloaded and the Ravens will have to cut him once he's due $30mil in one season.

Flacco owes that chump Broncos safety his life... That idiot (Raheem Moore, maybe?) made Flacco.

He was NOTHING before that.

Yes. His cap number is only $6.8 this year (actually lower than Ngata and Suggs). The next 2 years are 14.8 and 14.55. Then it hits 28.55 in 2016, 31.55 in 2017 and back down to 24.75 in 2018.

By comparison, Matt Ryan's numbers through 2018 are 9.6, 17.5, 19.5, 23.75, 23.75, 21.65. The first year is actually cheaper, because his previous contract would have been $12 this year, so they saved about $2.4.

Yeah I'm pretty sure the money the Titans gave CJ2K was a bigger waste. Flacco is still good, not Brees, Brady, Rogers good, but good. Sadly you can be the best QB in history, if you have no one to throw to it does you no good.

Still happy to see the Ravens waste all that $$ on Flacco
ONE game cost my Bears the playoffs last year, so yeah...every game matters.

Since I had Peyton on my Fantasy Team this week, I am more than happy with the turd the Ravens laid!!!

No response to my other post, huh?

I was not in favor of CJ's deal, but he had more rushing yards than any RB in the history of the NFL through his first three seasons. And even after his struggles he still has more yards in his first five seasons than any RB in the history of the NFL (other than Emmitt).

So Flacco won the Super Bowl... Yes. And that's certainly bigger than anything CJ has done. But the problem is before Flacco's big time playoff performance, he had done nothing.

In fact, he was so bad that he ranked 24th in total QBR in the regular season. To take that a step further his total QBR was 46.3... To put into perspective how bad that is, I'd like to point out that the 2012 Titans QBs had similar ratings. Hasselbeck was ranked just below Flacco at 25th with a 46.0 and Locker was just a couple spots down at 28th with a 44.5.

Flacco's contract is worse than CJ's. And just wait until you see what CJ does this season with a good OL. Did you not realize that our OL last year was ranked dead last in run blocking and that we had injuries across the entire line? We have three new starters this year and should have a top 5 OL for at least the next couple years until we need to replace Roos/Stewart.

Don't use the fact that RG III threw only 5? interceptions last year and Romo threw 19 in an argument either. RG III isn't a better QB than Romo, he's not!

Last call for any frozen buffalo wing recommendations since I'll be chilling at home with Sunday Ticket instead of hitting BWW. Some other online places have me picking up TGI Friday's wings and Trader Joe's wings to give a shot the first couple weeks, but thought I'd see if anybody here as any experience and recommendations.

This week several analysts were putting the Ravens back in the Superbowl, saying they actually improved their talent on defense, even if it wasn't obvious yet.

Not necessarily to win, but at least to get back there.

There is no good objective measure of a quarterback.

People fall back on Passer Rating, QBR, wins and losses, or the "eyeball test".

All are highly flawed.

Frankly I believe people don't even know how good QB's really are, because everything people think they know is based off one flawed methodology or another.

You can probably tell the all-time greats, but once you get past that how do people really know which QB is better? How can you really tell whether Stafford or Carson Palmer is better? Ryan vs. Schaub?

Yes, it definitely is flawed and say what you will, but just take a quick look at the quarterbacks on the list.

It's a pretty accurate barometer for a QB's ranking IMO. Top 5 total QBR: Manning, Brady, Rodgers, Ryan, RG3; Bottom 5 QBR: Sanchez, Henne, Quinn, Weeden, Cassel.

So while the way the QBs are awarded their total QBR may be flawed, the end result seems to be pretty justified IMO.

He don't have to always run. He can just bomb that shite! He proved that last year. So tomorrow prepare to meet your makers! Hope you got your trusty green and yellow crying towel from last year yet.

he's going to have to b/c after last year......every def. corr. has dissected that game film.
