The projected high for Sunday in Green Bay is -5 degrees.
In other words, Green Bay and San Francisco are going to be playing in Ice Bowl-esque temperatures. Per AccuWeather.com, temperatures are expected to hover near -7 degrees at 5PM CT, with the wind chill plunging to near -30 degrees. If the forecast holds, it will be one of the coldest games in NFL history. It's weather so unbelievably cold that it's unlikely to provide much of an advantage for the Pack. Both teams are going to suffer. Sunday is going to be about survival on the Frozen Tundra.

Did you watch the packers vs giants game in 2008? Windchill was -24...so this game will be just like that. -24 or -34....no difference

I love cold/snow games. It's my favorite weather, and love to see the greatest game of Earth played in my favorite weather.

It should affect Rodgers quite a bit, he is a California boy after all and I'd wager his non-throwing shoulder is still not 100%. Last week was practically a pre-season game for him and now he has to play in this weather? Yeesh.

Yeah, it's so cold that there is no advantage for Green Bay. It's going to be about pure survival.

I'm really having a hard time making up my mind on the SF/GB game. Gonna be interesting.

What's the wind gonna be like? The kicking game is going to be affected either way, but if it's windy it could be taken away completely.

It's the first time he's practiced on a Thursday in nearly a month. Lacy is ready to rock for Sunday's Wild Card tilt with 49ers after escaping last week's NFC North championship game without further injury. so his last 8 years in GB hasn't been enough time to get used to the weather he plays in??

if anything, it'll affect Kaep more since he doesn't play in weather like that more than a game or 2 every season.

What a joke ... they could have kept Josh McCown as their starter, sign him for a 3 year contract for a reasonable price, and let Cutler go elsewhere. For all the money they could have saved, they could have used a good chunk of it on that defense which is in dire need of an upgrade.

I'd love to see a typical physical ground-and-pound offense from the 49ers but we shall see. If and only if Kaepernick can keep throwing accurately on the Packers then they may have a chance but I'd give this one to GB.

I love the Bears fans suffering from Matt Flynn disease. McCown is not bad, as a back up. He isn't a franchise QB. If CHI gets anyone to bite on him for anything higher than a 5th-round I would be shocked.

I'm not saying Cutler is better though. He's on the decline obviously and pretty injury-prone. Bears will regret this deal.

With the help of several sponsors the Colts game is now officially sold out. The Packers and Bengals have until this afternoon to sell out or face a blackout, and it seems like a virtual certainty that both games will sell out with the help of sponsors and/or the team buying any unsold tickets.
