If he gets a big offer I can't imagine the Patriots keeping him. I would guess they'll stick with Ridley, Vereen, and Bolden and then sign a veteran or draft one using a mid-round pick.
You'll never know how mad I was at Jeff Fisher's dumbass for cutting Blount. That was the last straw and the moment I wanted Fisher gone... luckily it happened at the end of the season.

Dude is clueless... walked into a great situation with the Rams with the Redskins giving them 78 million first round picks for RG3. He will always hover right around .500.

Munchak sucked, but even he was able to beat Fisher this season.

I think you should maybe reconsider, when it comes to Jeff Fisher and the decisions he has made. I'm in no means a Rams fan, but Fisher may keep his players on a short leash, and what it probably all boils down to is respect and integrity. Look how the Dallas Cowboys have handled their WR Dez Bryant, I'm pretty sure Fisher would have handled that situation differently. Lets see how Washington handles RG3 from here on out after the Rams & Co. decided to pass on him for WR Tavon Austin, and ILB Alec Ogletree, in the 1st Round. I think he drafted a pretty good RB in Zac Stacey and could be as good, in the near future, in comparison to another RB, Green Bay Packers Eddie Lacy Let's see what his plans are this coming draft year when it comes to selecting such players for offense and defense. Things look like their just getting started and/or in the motions of becoming something to be reckoned with, not only for the St. Louis Rams, but the Philadelphia Eagles, Carolina Panthers, Arizona Cardinals, and not too surprisingly the Atlanta Falcons, if they can stay healthy and improve, oh boy watch out

Ball control against Peyton is good and all, but not when the running back you need to pull it off is on the bench. Woodhead is not a first down back. Then again they couldn't pass protect either so they were doomed once Ryan Mathews went out.
Concur, that offensive strategy was garbage when your first-string running back is limping around on a bad ankle. I don't think the coach fully trusts Rivers to air it out with that bad offensive line and uneven receiving corp. The game was lost by the offensive line, which got absolutely man-handled by Denver.

No chance, he needs one or two more years and he'll own virtually every career passing record. Don't let the players fool you, they care about records. Manning likely doesn't even play that last week if he wasn't gunning for the passing yards record.

He's said that even if he wins one this year, he'll be back if his neck exams come out fine.

Jeff Fisher fielded the best team in the NFL on two occasions... and went one and done both times. Overall, he had four different teams capable of winning it all, and we came away with ZERO rings. He was a great coach up until 2004. Then the game started to change and he never adapted. He's uber-conservative and will never get back to the Super Bowl... probably won't win another playoff game either, although I bet the Rams will reach the playoffs in the next few years. It's just such a tough division.

Like I said... the Rams have been and will continue to improve because they got a million first round picks from that RG3 trade.

Fisher hasn't learned from his mistakes, and he sticks with his same scrub coaching staff and overpays for his former players (Finnegan and Cook). He is the most conservative coach in the NFL.

Go look at his drafts with the Titans... TERRIBLE as a whole. Sure, you're always going to luck out and take a few great players, but our picks have been absolutely awful until he left. And before you say "well you took Locker after he left" yes... that's one bad pick. Take a look at the rest... pretty good overall.

No way he wouldnt have played.

If they lost that game they wouldve fell to the #2 seed & would be at the pats this week instead of home.

I'm glad Miami didn't give him control like he wanted, much happier with Philbin.

So I guess the Titans are so off the radar that not even one person here posted the Whisenhunt news.

I'm pretty happy with the hire, although he was not my first choice... and when he was mentioned as a candidate, I wanted no part of him, but I've warmed up to the idea and I can't wait to see who Whiz brings in.

It's going to be nice to see a completely new coaching staff with few or no Oilers/Titans connections.

I lol'd so hard at the fools on NFL Network asking "why would he choose the Titans over the Lions?" Roster aside, you guys do realize the Lions play in Detroit, right? And the Titans do play in Nashville, which is the bomb, so... yea. Whiz will be so much happier here.

NFL Network mentioned the fact that he'd also have Suh on the other side of the ball... Ummm... never heard of Jurrell Casey? He was better than Suh this season.

No, I don't think there's really much chance of that at all. The guy put up a career season and I think he knows he has about 2 more very high level seasons left in him, barring injury. Plus I'm thinking if he gets #2 he'll be motivated to go for #3 to beat his brother and tie Brady in rings.

Not that I think it's likely. My gut feeling says the Pats beat the Broncos for the AFC title.

I heard last night he was the frontrunner. Not a very good hire if you ask me, they could of done a lot better considering the talent on the roster.
