Well it's close. If I were to put the all-time QB's in tiers it would be...

Top-Tier: Montana, Peyton Manning, Marino, Brady, Unitas, Baugh, Graham. High 2nd-tier: Favre, Steve Young, Elway, etc.

Peyton is probably borderline top-5. It's hard to judge the really old school guys like Baugh and Graham against modern QB's like Peyton. In any case Peyton isn't the best Colts player of all-time. That would be Unitas.

12 is a good number for the seahawks

they scored the safety 12 seconds in to the 1st qtr and a return td 12 seconds in to the 3rd qtr

I still think Manning has to be top 3 with Brady and Montana. Yes his playoff w-l record is disappointing but his regular season numbers are just so staggering. You also put Marino in that top tier list. Is he in the top 5?

I don't think Manning had a chance to win. Yes he threw two picks but there were four fumbles, a safety caused by his center and no defense was played.

I have a lot of respect for artists, who's music style I don't care for, that can still entertain me! That hasn't happened very often for me but tonight that certainly was the case! I thought Bruno came out and killed it! I enjoyed his energy! I was telling my wife that he sort of reminded me of a combo of Jackie Wilson and James Brown and almost immediately after that he went into his James Brown dance routine! LOL!

Guess it's a matter of taste. When he was announced as the performer I had know idea who he was. He must be for the <24 demographic. Everyone at the pub with me was scratching their heads when he was performing like I was.

Manning needed to win tonight to be considered the undisputed greatest NFL QB of all time. As it is he is merely in the conversation, but an argument can still be made for several others. Stats are nice but do you win when it really counts? That's what it really all boils down to. Who would you want leading you into the super bowl? Peyton or Joe Montana?

You honestly think Peyton is better than Unitas? Unitas was more dominant in his era than Peyton is in his. And Unitas won 3 championships.

I enjoyed it WAY more than last year's Beyoncé strip show.

In fairness I think if you put someone like Peyton or Marino on those Niners teams in place of Montana either would have 3 rings minimum. Those Niners teams had ridiculous amounts of talent in the 80's-90's around Montana.

I hated Beyonce too. I guess they're aiming at the teenie bopper crowd between this year and last year. I miss the old school Super Bowl acts.

Not all old school acts are great though. The Who was terrible a few years ago. The Stones weren't very good either. Tom Petty wasn't bad. Prince was good a few years ago. The Blackeyed Peas were OK.

Oh I absolutely agree. But still, whether it's fair or not, you're judged by your rings. I think the 90's Atlanta Braves are one of the most dominant baseball franchises ever but they only managed to win one World Series, so they won't be regarded as such in history.

The truth is, Seattle sort of exposed Denver tonight. They were very impressive and they're young! They definitely have a shot to repeat next year.

Many fans who are giving their views on the best qb ever conversation have to keep in mind, football is far different now than it was for fans like me, and I am 34 and i have seen the game change drastically. When the rules are created to help offenses and defenses are not allowed to do anything without having a personal foul called or a pass interference penalty i can't say that any qb from this era is better than the legends from the 80's. I have to still rank Montana and Elway over manning and I am sure folks who are older than me who saw unitas and staubach will also have their two cents to chime in. I am a 49ers fan who still feels we got robbed from the NFC title game and i still will ***** and whine about that, and I was rooting like heck for the Broncos to demolish the seahawks, but half way through the game i said to myself Peyton doesn't even crack my top 5 of qb's all time the only reason these numbers are being put up is the era of football we are in. Heck I still might not put manning over steve young. I am just saying take a step back and put things into prespective and don't believe all the hype

The superbowl halftime show is not supposed to be for the real nfl fans, supposed to be for the people who don't like nfl and watch it because they have no choice at a party, same for the commercials. The point is to attract a wide audience which is why you get the pop singers. I'm not a fan of Bruno Mars but he brought energy at least, more then the broncos.

The game sucked. Just completely one sided and was boring from the halftime. Oh well, congrats Seattle.

This year's show was decent compared to the last two previous ones in my opinion. Don't care much for Beyoncé & the Black Eyed Peas was just weird. I still believe the '93 SB show was the best.

Cowboys!

I loved this years halftime show only because of the RHCP. Wish they could have played more than one song...

Peyton should just retire and go work at Papa Johns after that game.
