Really surprised the amount of money the Raiders are about to pay Rodger Saffold to play LT. Much better at guard. Not to mention he can't stay healthy.

Good work by his agent.

I'll miss the hell outta Verner, but the market for CBs is just too strong. The Grimes (4 year/$32mil) and Shields (4 year/$39mil) deals set the stage perfectly for him. Both Grimes and Shields have had injury issues while Verner is young and never missed a game.

He'll get a 5 year/$45mil or 5 year/$50mil deal with $20mil guaranteed. As much as I love the guy, I wouldn't pay him more than an average of $7mil a year. He's a hell of a player who will show up every Sunday, but he's not good enough to shut down elite receivers on a consistent basis... and if you go deep on him in single coverage, the chances are good he will get burned.

We need to invest more money in pass rushers. We have a ton of money invested in McCourty, Griffin, and Pollard already... It would make no sense to pay Verner $10mil when our pass rush is absolute poop. If we improve our pass rush our secondary will be as good or better even without ATV.

Also, I have faith in Sensabaugh and/or Wreh-Wilson to get the job done.

You don't know the history of Ford Sr do you? How he got the Lions, why he left Ford Motor Company etc.? I am sure he was a nice guy but there is a reason the Ford family bought the Lions for him. Ford Sr. was a horrible executive at Ford Motor Company, part of the deal for the family buying the Lions for him was that he leave Ford Motor Company and never be involved with them again because of the state he put the company in back in the 50's/60's. It is not a coincidence that the Lions went from a championship team in the 50's to 60 years of no Super Bowl appearances and 1 playoff win. He was the one making the calls for all those years. He was the one who kept Matt Millan around for 2-3 years after his son publicaly said this guy needs to be fired I made a mistake. Ford Sr. was the one who extended Millans contract. Ford Sr was Jerry Jones before Jerry Jones existed.

90% of the top players that go in FA aren't worth their contract or live up to it. But teams are very stupid with their money. So many terrible contracts come FA

Read that no FA signings from last year were in the top 10 in any major statistical category.

Looks like there will be yet another free agent CB. Revis will be cut tomorrow, which means we get their 4th round draft pick instead of their 3rd

. Man we hosed TB Sheldon Richardson and their 4th rd pick for one year of a player that we were never going to resign. What would be even more funny is if he came back and signed with the Jets. Doubt it because there still might be bitterness. He should know that he shines in Rex's system, so he should come back.

Theres no guarantee he gets cut a good portion of it depends on if he takes a pay cut since his cash is not Guaranteed anyways

I wouldn't be surprised if the Eagles went after him if he is cut. He's from Pennsylvania, and the Eagles need secondary help.

By making that move BB would make jets fans all over have serious issues
