Are we? Didn't think it was finalized. I thought it's between the Lions, the Raiders, and us. If he does sign with us, he should be cheap. I don't mind the signing if it's at a good price.

You guys are in good position to draft Greg Robinson. Forget a 1st round QB, you guys will find the Next Kaepernick or Russell Wilson in the 2nd round (I heard good things about Derek Carr)...

I've read that Rex needs at least an 8-8 season to keep his job, and maybe that wouldn't be enough. Like you said a lot of it depends on Geno's development. If he continues to improve, and they show a lot of fight Rex will probably be safe for another year. But if he and the offense really struggle again, it might not be good for Rex.

I don't know man. Ever since Idzik arrived, the media reports a lot of erroneous info. This is no longer the Tanny era where Pettine would leak all sorts of stuff to the press. What we do know is Woody decided to keep Rex even with a new GM. We missed the playoffs the next year, which would have given the GM reason to fire an inherited coach, but they kept him. I think Rex has the confidence of Woody and that will be key. If the Jets finish 5-11/4-12/6-10, then I can see him being in trouble. Geno needs to take a step forward, and we will see if he can be better with a better supporting cast, which is what he will have this year.

I think released. A lot of Jets fans think he hasn't been cut yet, because 1) we aren't desperate for cap space, 2) his roster bonus doesn't come until next week, so no reason to cut him ATM, and 3) it gives us some leverage in negotiating a deal for a veteran backup because if we drop him then we might look desperate for another QB.
