NFL is denying they had access to the video...

I don't understand how the NFL didn't see the tape. As part of the state's case against Rice a copy of the tape would have had to be turned over to Rice's attorney. Therefore, why wouldn't the NFL have told Rice that if he didn't turn over a copy of the tape then the suspension would be significantly worse?

I have no idea how that works fate, honestly dont care, just pissed the NFL got this so wrong its not even funny. Rice should have been gone a year for this not a measly 2 games, swap the Gordon and Rice bans and you have what the suspensions should have been,

The way Rice's attorney described the incident (speaking hypothetically) was that Rice's fiancee was repeatedly hitting Rice and that Rice was defending himself but hit her harder than he should have. That clearly wasn't what happened.

I didn't hear that. To be honest after hearing everyone talk about I was expecting something worse than a single punch. The only good that came of this is it put the spotlight on it, and made the NFL address the situation with the new policy.

Of course his attorney spun it the way he did he was paid to do that. Anyone who believed the attorneys story the few days after the first video leaked is an idiot.

And now it gets much worse for Ray Rice, while im not saying the guy should lose his job I think this might be a real possibility.

Yahoo! Sports' Dan Wetzel has been "texting with team officials around the NFL," and the belief around the league is that the Ravens will release Ray Rice.

We don't typically use Wetzel as a source, but his words are worth noting. According to the multiple team officials he was in contact with, they believe the Ravens simply "have to" release Rice after the video of him knocking out his then-fiancee in a hotel elevator in February came to light on Monday. If the Ravens were to keep Rice rostered, pay him, and play him, they'd face severe backlash. Current players and ex-NFL players have already taken to Twitter calling for Rice's head. There's a real chance Rice may get cut and never play again.

Whether it was an "accident" or not I'm sure something will happen. if not, what's stopping players from full on clothe lining other plays.

They know if you suspend/ban all the people the fans like no one will watch. NFL only cares about their business. Mainly when the majority of their plays are thugs, crooks and suspected murders.
