I don't own a single 49er in any of my leagues... and that is by design. There's no value there.

Hyde was way overdrafted. I wouldn't have taken a shot on him until the 5th round. But he went 2nd/3rd.

Colin Kaepernick and RG III looked so excellent when they first came in, now Russell Wilson looks like he might be the only worthwhile QB from that draft. I do still think Wilson is horrifically overpaid.

Hated Kaep coming into the NFL. Thought he'd be a joke, but he won me over right away in his first start against the Bears on MNF. Sucks to see him fall from grace so fast. A lot of it has to do with a struggling OL too though.

He doesn't have many weapons right now either. Smith is average. Boldin is almost done. Davis is done.

He needs a better situation.

His receivers aren't to blame when he throws the ball 30 feet out of bounds.

Those are being thrown away. No one open.

Do people prefer he throw it to the receivers and get it picked off 4 times like against AZ?

He's in a no win situation. If he makes smart decisions with the football everyone will think he sucks. If he throws the ball into traffic and gets it picked off, everyone will think he sucks.

Kaepernick was drafted in 2011 in the draft with Cam Newton and Blaine Gabbert. Wilson and RGIII were drafted in the same year with Luck.

I wonder where Kaep ends up next year. His deal was constructed as a two-year deal followed by a lot of team options so the 49ers can get out of the deal after this year and only take a cap hit of about $7.4 million. Kaep was never a great QB but if he can get back to his 2012 and 2013 form he's certainly good enough to start, and maybe that can happen with a change in scenery.
