Penton, the next time you're in the DC/Baltimore area...heck the Mid Atlantic coastal area, definitely shoot me a PM! I definitely owe you, at the very least, a beverage for all the information you've provided over the years!

Kelley to San Fran, Coughlin withdraws candidacy.
Sure glad Philly fired Kelly with a week remaining to get a jump on everyone.
Please tell me this was all posturing as they wait to announce Darrell Bevell as the new HC.

KC OC Doug Pederson hired by Eagles. Didn't KC go a full season without a TD by a WR last year? Does this hire inspire any confidence Rickah?

We now have no competition in our HC search... And yet we will still likely hire Mularkey. I can't take this anymore. It's been a bipolar week of emotions down here.

Well, I don't think many were inspired when a young QB coach from Green Bay was hired and it turned out to be the most winningest coach in franchise history.
With that said, I was really hoping for the chance at Bevall. While I'm not overly thrilled, I'm not bummed either. Now I hope he keeps Shurmer which might convince Bradford to stay.
Either way, it is what it is.

Hell no. I've witnessed that man blow games with horrible clock management. I would certainly take him over Mularkey though.

I am a 49ers fan and this sucks to hear they hired chip k., I mean he only took a decent eagles team and got rid of all their talented players so I can imagine he will prob. trade kap. for someone like matt cassel. I would rather have seen shanahan or coughlin, heck I would rather have the ryans over this guy lmao.

Chip is going to keep kaepernick, but Trent will have full control over the roster

That's why I think Chip could succeed. Kaep seems like the type of QB that could fit very well in Chip's system, and Chip's downfall in Philly wasn't his coaching, it was his poor personnel moves. He took over a 4 win team and led them to consecutive 10 win seasons before he made a lot of roster moves.

I think it was more his people person skills, or lack thereof, that led to his ouster in Philly. His moves could be debated, and we may never see the full extent of them with a regime change, but many of the people he sent away either experienced lengthy injury(MeSean, Shady, Maclin) or downright flamed out(Foles, Herremans). Not to mention leaving them in a pretty good cap situation.
The key now, is signing Braford as he is, by far, the best option out there.

Officer David J. Foscaldo wrote that he was about to start his shift around 7:40 a.m. Sunday when he observed a shirtless Jones, who was wearing blue sweatpants, "randomly scurry" through a portion of the station's parking lot.

Jones then suddenly made a direct line for the station's rear door. Then, Foscaldo wrote, Jones got down on his knees and interlocked his fingers and placed his hands tightly against the back of his head, without any warning or provocation.

Foscaldo wrote that Jones held this position for one to two seconds before slowly moving toward the ground.

"Honestly, it appeared as if he was actively praying or worshipping," Foscaldo wrote. "At times, this man would return to an upright position, this same movement/motion was repeated at least twice."

Foscaldo wrote that Jones was unable to provide police a "plausible or legitimate" explanation as to why he was at the police station or why he headed for the rear door.

"It was quite evident that Mr. Jones was desperately seeking our assistance, and he had certainly not committed any crimes -- nor had he violated any laws or town by-laws," Foscaldo wrote.
Yeah he's still a dumbass. Oh and then there is this:

Quote:
While in an ambulance with the paramedics, Jones said he left his keys at home. When police went to Jones' home to retrieve the keys, an officer noticed the smell of burnt marijuana.

Might just be for leverage but Mark Davis now owns land for a stadium exactly between Austin, TX and San Antonio. Red McCombs (former Vikings owner) is offering to invest to help bring them there. They would play at the Alamo Dome until the new stadium is built in-between the two cities. Both metro areas give them about 4 million people to cater to. I guess everyone could wear their Spurs gear to the games until they get their Raiders stuff?

Jerry won't like this.

Jerry is powerful enough and Mark Davis is disliked enough by the other owners that it's unlikely that a Raiders move to Texas would be approved. 24 owners have to approve a move and already it's a certainty that Jerry and Texans owner Bob McNair would vote no, and it seems likely they could get 7 other owners to vote no as well. I could see Jerry using some of his sway within the league to get the NFL to contribute more money to a stadium towards a new stadium in Oakland (or San Diego to try and get the Chargers to stay).

id be fine with that. Keep them in Oakland. It's insane tho the types of games and politics that people play to get these things built. These stadiums get used like 14 days out of the year.
