Yeah Andy Reid ain't to shabby I would say he's a good coach. Doesn't have a lot of losing seasons and I know he missed the big one but I mean a lot of coaches haven't won a super bowl. I bet a lot of teams would take andy in a heartbeat.

I really don't get the Andy Reid hate. The guy is at worst an above average head coach. He came as close as you can get to winning a championship and has been a consistent winner in two cities. His job in KC speaks for itself.
Kansas City the two seasons pre-Andy-Reid: 9-23 Kansas City under Andy Reid: 43-21, 3 playoff appearances in 4 seasons. His offense also helped revitalize Alex Smith's up until then very average career. Same deal with Philadelphia. It was a garbage franchise when he took it over and went 130-93 with him, including 9 playoff appearances in 13 seasons, 4 NFC title games and one Super Bowl appearance. |

When you grade the Patriots draft you have to look at the players they traded for in addition to who they drafted. Via draft pick trades they got an established #1 receiver in Brandin Cooks, Kony Ealy, Dwayne Allen, and Mike Gillislee. Those four players should all play major roles for the Patriots this season.

Draft grades are fun to read but thats it. A lot of places gave us a B in 2014 and that was Mack and Carr. They'd go 1 and 2 if you redid that draft today. Every other time if we get an A the players end up busts (McClain) or vice versa. Grade this shit in 2020

Both analysts and fans alike were extremely skeptical of Carr, for good reason. I really did think he'd be a bust.

This. I remember years ago the Steelers got an A+ grade in a draft because the only need they had at the time was receiver. They drafted Limus Sweed and I don't think that guy ever saw the field.

The Patriots signed Gillislee as a restricted free agent and when the Bills didn't match the Bills got the Patriots 5th round pick. They traded for Allen from the Colts and gave up a 4th round pick (and received the Colts 6th round pick in addition to Allen). So while the Patriots only drafted 4 players they got 8 players with their draft picks (as well as some players that were on the team in 2016). Some analysts only grade drafts based on the players actually drafted but the reason Mel Kiper gave the Patriots an A and Pete Prisco of CBS Sports gave them a B was because of the players traded for with their picks in addition to the players actually drafted.
