Everyone should cut him slack, the guys had 7 different Offensive coordinators in his first 7 years... NO qb would be successful with turnaround that bad... Gotta give him credit, he stepped it up today when the Niners needed it most.. Smith and Davis today!

I was at a sports bar during the Niners game. The crowd in there were insane after the game. Now I'm at my parents house with LeAnn watching the Broncos. Now that the NE is up soon to be 21-7. I think we are going to sneak home a little early.

Well is there any other highly touted QB who took longer to suddenly become good? Usually with high draft pick QB's you can tell they're going to be good at least by the 3rd or 4th year. I can't think of anyone else who took 7 years to develop. I believe Steve Young sat around for many years, but it was more due to Montana being their starter than lack of development.

Yep, he only got to play really cause Montana got injured and Young took over. and it kinda became his team and after he won the SB in 94 it became his team and Montana was traded.

isn't weird all these other QB's come in for the injured starter and a few years later they become that team's QB. I remember when Bledsoe got injured and where that led too. Is he around or did he retire?
