He still had his best year. They had a stats thing up for his touchdowns, passing % and yards and at the bottom it said all career bests.

Yeah, that's what most people said about the Saints. No run game and a lot of throwing didn't seem to work too well today against San Fran.

Biggest thing is Alex Smith throwing almost no picks. His int rate was barely 1% for the year. I believe that was easily the best in the league. He usually doesn't wow you with big passing numbers, but he doesn't turn the ball over.

Exactly. Thats just like those same people who said it was gonna be the Saints/Packers in the championship.

I saw a thing on NFL.com a few days ago and they said expect two upsets. With the 49ers being one of them. I mean who would have thought the Bronco's would have beat the Steelers last week?

Just like the Eagles and their big mouths, they like to shoot their mouths off, then they lose and don't say a damn thing then.

If the game were in San Fran I might agree. But there's a big difference between beating the Saints at home and beating the Packers at Lambeau.

I would still find it funny if he Harbaugh brothers made it into the Superbowl. They would probably call it the Harbaugh or something.

Yes, I think the Bills rallied from 35 down to beat the Houston Oilers. And that was with a backup QB since Jim Kelly was hurt.

I'm sure the media will attack them for "running up the score." Though I'm not sure how that's the Patriots fault. They really are just that much better.

EDIT - looked it up and it was actually a 32 point comeback by Buffalo.

I actually believe very strongly in sportsmanship, and there is absolutely a place for it at the professional level. There has to come a time in this game when Belichick removes Brady, if only to ensure no injuries.

But I also approve of how Bellichick has always acted under the premise that a corpse can't take too many bullets. In professional sports, you do indeed kick a man when he's down, and you keep kicking him until he can't possibly get up.
