Rodgers has been putting up Pro Bowl type numbers for the last 4 years, it's the last two years that he's been putting up HOF numbers.

They said the same thing about Manning the next season following the Superbowl win.

With Eli pulling it out again in the end in dramatic fashion, what a good trade that turned out to be for the Giants, even if the Chargers also got one of the best kickers in the league out of it.

I like Green Bay. I was rooting for them. But damn! They deserved to lose that game! Eight dropped passes, three lost fumbles, they left Giant's receivers wide open too much, and GB would get the ball and just lay down (woosies) way too many times, instead of try to run it! Why are these guys making millions each year? I don't think I've ever seen a Super Bowl team play so sorry.............

I can only imagine how Packers fans feel today, home teams are now I believe 7-1 in this year's play-offs.

I live in Wisconsin and I LOVE that the Packers lost

Packer fans around here were a-holes all season. After every week, including the loss to the Chiefs it was all "don't matter, my team's still better than yours!" BS that got real old real quick. So seeing them get demolished today was great

I almost wanna head out and see how drunk and pissed Packers fan are at the local bars

Too bad for Rodgers. First home playoff game, and he loses!

Once again, the whole world is against SF....

The majority are picking the Giants to be in the SuperBowl.

SF will never get respect under Alex Smith....

They're still underdog so I hope SF shock the nation again

Back to Candlestick park! Let's go SF! And congrats to the Gmen for our home field advantage. Of course after watching this game I would like to be playing the Packers now.

hard to pin this one on rodgers. he's not the one that fumbled the ball away 3x. he's not the one that allowed 4 runs of 20+ yards. he's not the one that consistenly allowed 1st downs on 3rd & long.

he wasn't on his game 2nite, but it wasn't all his fault that they lost. it was barely part of his fault they lost.

I actually think a large part of the blame has to go to Mike McCarthy for sitting him in week 17, he was rusty most of the game and I imagine that had a huge impact on your offense. Giants defense did what I thought they would do though, they got pressure most of the day with just 4 and stymied your rushing attack most of the game.

very true. fair enough. but man, first home playoff game for him, and ya lose? as defending champs? super disappointing.

also very true

----

i wonder what happens to the Packers now. seems like some key players are either free agents or very old.

Woodson looked super old and slow (Jacobs flies past him for the last dagger TD, missed tackles left and right, missed / blown coverages (especially on the hail mary TD...) and isn't nearly as good as he was 4-5 years ago of course. all he does now is blitz and anyone can do that. his coverage skills and speed have diminished.

isn't Finley a free agent? and today he was a no-show. not saying they won't sign him long term but today was not a "money making" day for him.

Driver is super old who knows how much he has left.

Jennings left with another injury mysteriously enough in the 4th quarter

and what happened to Matthews? Matthews was a no-show for like, the last half of the season. groin injury or not, i didn't hear his name once all game.
