Oh it could be for the upcoming season. If Peyton lands in Denver my guess is they're something like a 12-4 team. Like you say though, Chargers are the Chargers. Somehow every season a lot of people pick San Diego to make or win the Super Bowl and they always underperform.

KC is already a pretty good team, injuries to there best offensive & defensive player really set them back last year, I expect them to rebound nicely....

Chargers still have Rivers who is cry's like a little B*tch every other play, but they are still decent

McFadden and healthy dont belong in the same sentence

And if Denver lands Manning... FML

Lloyd to Pats

Quote:
Patriots signed WR Brandon Lloyd, formerly of the Rams.

Lloyd gives the Patriots a receiver with ''deep threat'' ability and is an ideal complement to Wes Welker's intermediary slot game. Reports suggest Lloyd's contract demands in New England could be "reasonable," though financial terms are not yet available. Lloyd has played for five teams in his nine-year career, and led the NFL with 1,448 yards receiving under Patriots OC Josh McDaniels with Denver in 2010.

They have a pretty solid WR core now. Crabtree, Manningham, Davis, and Moss.

If they land Peyton they could be pretty beastly on both sides of the ball. Either way I expect to see them in the playoffs again.

Lloyd to NE will help them, but honestly, was it the New England offense that didn't win the Super Bowl? They were (and usually are) in the top of the league in offense. Their defense is a joke. That's what cost them the Super Bowl and spending more money on offensive players isn't going to fix that.

From the sounds of it almost all of their drafting is going to be on the defensive side of the ball. And besides, with a healthy Gronk they win that Super Bowl. New England's defense hasn't been very good for years, they win games with their offense. And now Brady has a legit deep threat that has been productive working with McDaniels in the past. This isn't good for the AFC East.

One key defensive stop or turnover would've done that just as well. Just sayin'.

If they keep them, they always stockpile picks but oftentimes they end up trading one or two of them.

Should 49ers free-agent QB Alex Smith wind up signing in Miami, he would rejoin his former high-school teammate, Reggie Bush

Wes Welker making a catch he never misses except there and it's probably game over.

It sounds like both Smith and the Dolphins are trying to get leverage. Smith trying to get San Francisco worried, and the Dolphins trying to make Flynn sweat a bit.

I don't know... I mean if you've seen whats gone on with Gronkowski since he blew up (partying after SB), his youtube videos acting like an a$$... I wonder if his production will be there this year, or if its all getting to his head.

Honestly injured or not if I made it to the Super Bowl I'd party too, win or lose. He'll be fine, assuming his ankle heals up in the off-season. Brandon Lloyd means less downfield routes for him less year anyway.

I see the 49ers are interested in Peyton. But i'm wondering if the 49ers are really serious or just trying to push Smith to resign with them.

They also picked up a really good Receiver in Manningham. (sp)
