That's probably right. Does seem like the elite QB's who go to another team don't have a lot of success. Looking at Drew Brees's stats I believe he was a top-10 QB with San Diego though. He struggled his first two NFL seasons but then had to really good years with the Chargers before going to New Orleans where he became even better and more successful. Of course the Dolphins foolishly decided to go for Daunte Culpepper instead of Brees that 2005 offseason.

So is it true, was Peyton Manning the most valuable free agent in NFL history? Also, I am not really on top of everything NFL but does John Elway own part of the Broncos? If so how much? And does he still own a bunch of car dealerships in Colorado? thanks in advance!

I don't think Elway owns any stake in the Broncos. He tried to buy a stake years ago but there were legal issues. He's just Broncos Vice President. Pat Bowlen owns the team. I think Elway still part owns an Arena Football League team and some steakhouses. Apparently he sold off most of his car dealership in the late 90's for around $80 mill. Seems like everything Elway's touched in his post-NFL career turned into gold.

Indy could have scored big in a trade if it wasn't for that huge bonus Peyton was due. Unfortunately for them the bonus was so big (like $28 mill) they had to cut him rather than wait to execute a trade.

That remains to be seen. He needs to get on the field and show what he can do before we start talking about how great of a move this was. He could go down in his first season and never play again or go on to win a Super Bowl or two, so it's impossible to say how good of a move this was until he actually does something on the field.

Elway is Executive Vice President of Football Operations for the Broncos. He doesn't own part of the team as far as I know. According to Wikipedia, Elway owns 4 car dealerships. Two in Colorado and two in California. He also owns 2 steakhouses in Colorado.

Well I like Peyton, I always have. My fingers are crossed, I hope things work out well for him and the Broncos which BTW I have not liked since the Elway days.

There's to much hype behind this manning to denver. what kind of weapons does manning have there?he has mcgahee and a TE.Decker isn't a great WR.Who else is left in FA to help the donks? The donks had a good defense, but their best weapon on defense is miller and he is suspended 6 games.they still have bailey but he's getting old and he's just one guy.I guess we'll see. Welcome to the AFC West manning.Hopefully you'll have time to meet Tamba Hali.

Good move by the Eagles. They really need help at linebacker.
I hope my team knows what it is doing.

Getting a 4th round pick and moving up 12 spots in the 3rd round sounds good to me. His $5.9 million salary wasn't worth paying for a linebacker who played less than 60% of Houston's defensive snaps last season. Good move for both teams in my opinion.

I think 5 years $96 million is a bit much, especially for someone who could break like a toy after one bad hit.

lmao maybe he could do that

Imagine the headlines if Manning gets injured and the Broncos miss the playoffs/have less wins than last year.

Demaryius Thomas is a good, young receiver. You also have to keep in mind that Decker is the type of receiver that Manning will like. He'll make everyone around him better.

"The Denver Broncos are expected to trade quarterback Tim Tebow to either the New York Jets or Jacksonville Jaguars by midday Wednesday, Orlando's WKMG-TV reported, citing a source close to the NFL star."

There's plenty of internal rumors that the team is talking about getting Tebow. I know the Jags are having a radio show this evening and I'm going to tune into that as well.

I asked all the Gator fans at work that I know and they would definitely buy tickets to see Tebow play for the Jags. I despise Tebow, but since we've been in a funk far too long. I think it's time to bring excitement back in Jacksonville. I'm trying not to give in to Tebow mania, but I'm sick of losing, and sick of the management not taking chances on big name players. Maurice Jones-Drew can't carry the load year after year, and I'm not so confident with Mr. Gabbert.
