Any fans of Slap Shot?

Remember some people thought that bountygate was a smaller issue than spygate?

Oh boy

NFL has been trying to preach player safety for years so I guess this punishment was needed.

The Jets are apparently the only team that didn't realize that trading for Tebow would cost $5M. Denver never asked for the money back, the contract was written that way, and the Jets must not have looked at the fine print of the deal. The fact the Jets tweeted out the trade without having fully understood the wording of Tebow's contract, as DEN asserts, not good for Jets.
And now the angry Dolphins fans who thought our FO was a mess have stopped protesting. Thank you stupid Jets!

They'd owe the Broncos the money:

Quote:
The Broncos and Jets initially agreed to a trade that would send Tebow and a seventh-round pick to New York in exchange for a fourth-round pick and a sixth-round pick. But that trade hit a sticking point when the Jets realized that Tebow’s contract had a clause that required some $5 million in salary advances he has already received to be sent back to the Broncos by any team that acquires him.

The Jets apparently didn’t fully read Tebow’s contract before agreeing to the deal. And although the Jets formally announced the trade, they did not finalize it with the league office, which is required before any trade becomes official. So it appears that the Jets will be able to back out of the deal now that they realize how much Tebow would cost them.

Might as well rename the team The New Orleans Hitmen.

I think Tim Tebow is overhyped and overrated. With that said, I feel sorry for him having to play for the Jets. I wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy!

Sounds like jags are getting tebow now.

This is 1 of the craziest offseason days ever.

The jets are at the jags this year too....really interesting game now.
