The Goonies and The Monster Squad, with a little Amazing Stories. I enjoyed season 1.

I actually enjoyed this one better the 2nd time around.
The first time I saw it months ago the hype was a little too high.

Not sure if this has been posted but it should help out some of you who aren't in the U.S. and can't get it shipped to you. Diabolik has Stranger Things in stock. Only 7 left as i type this.

Stuff everyone has "for free" on Netflix doesn't sell well it seems. Which is a bummer because every non-purchase of this is a vote for Netflix keeping stuff streaming only forever.

Happy to see that ten years later rubber-nub-Blu-ray-holder technology has improved considerably from Apes/Omen.

I'm sure these are selling fine. Target just has more supply of these than their average exclusives from everytHing I've read.

They are Selling insanely good from the looks of it. Traffic around this is very high everywhere, how someone can even say otherwise is weird. You can clearly see fans of this want to own this on Blu-Ray forever to watch.

EXACTLY. I would even go so far as to say that experts are keeping an eye on the sales of this, to compare the difference between STREAMING and PHYSICAL MEDIA sales.

We all know rumors have been circulating that physical media might be on the way out due to the higher demand and popularity of online streaming services, but for shows that people REALLY love most, shows we already have access to on Netflix, we are STILL supporting VERY STRONGLY the physical disks.

I'm hoping the sales of this REALLY speaks volumes to the annalists to try to tell us what we REALLY want or not.

So how limited is this release? I've got to work in the US on November 9th. Is it worth popping into a Target to see if this is still on the shelf or is the general consensus that this'll be long gone before then? I'd love to order it online but the shipping cost to Canada is ridiculous.

I think Target will keep these on the shelf and available probably through the holiday season at least.

You should be fine. I would grab a couple copies in case you get a set with a bad disc or floater rattling around getting scratched, unless you will be able to test the discs out while here in the States.

Thanks for the help. I haven't had time to review this whole thread. Are people having issues with some of the discs?

Not really. I think like one or two people mentioned some issue, but I think one of them was OCD-ish. There was playback issues with using it on the Xbox One, but Microsoft put out an update which resolved it. I wouldn't worry about it.

When I went Target shopping, I had to paw through a couple copies to find one where the discs had not fallen off the little foam nubs holding the discs in place and were banging around inside. On your travels home, they could become dislodged.

It's not the most robust packaging ever devised. That's why I transferred mine to a regular dual disc Blu-ray case.

And sometimes you can run into bad discs. That's just how it is.

You might have trouble exchanging the set if you do have an issue.

The only complaint I have about the packaging are the foam nubs. If they deteriorate, I'll get a new case for the discs.

I would do it sooner rather than later. As the foam is deformed every time you take the discs out, their holding power becomes worse. I would check out Casetopia or some other source for cases and grab a few various types of cases from Blu-ray to UHD Blu-ray. It's a relatively cheap investment in the grand scheme of this expensive hobby.

Casetopia is where I bought new cases for my Star Trek: Voyager DVD's. Love their products. It's a good idea. Thanks!

Thanks for referring Casetopia, I need to purchase a few blu ray cases & I’m think of buying an album case also to save on space, not every movie I have needs to be displayed, at least not older titles.
