Does anyone own Ghostbusters I & II with nice slipcovers? Every store I've seen them at, the slipcovers were all beat to hell. Every single one of them.

Anyone know if the UK release art shown on Amazon and this site are accurate? Also, if these still come with slipcovers? I have the UK steels, and thought about putting the UHD discs in them, but I think the art on the UK UHD releases is better than the steels.

I like it funny old GhostBusters than new remake (2016)

You noticed smoking warning graphics in the movie (1984).

illegal smoking in the movie ghostbusters from (2016).

Before you buy the UK version, make sure it has the Dolby Atmos track from the U.S. version.

Of course it does.

And the art on this site is accurate, the covers for GB 1 & 2 are the classic ghost devices against black rather than those photoshop monstrosities seen on the US set. I ordered from Amazon a few weeks ago and both came with slips.

Hi. I am a newb here. I bought the GB1984 UHD the day they came out. I recently got an Xbox One S. The Xbox won't play GB or GBII, but it will play GB2016.

I get an error message from the Xbox. I see there have been issues with UHD playback, but have also heard that some early UHD discs have a defect.

Any help? Thanks!

Use the One S to play XBONE exclusives and acquire a Samsung UHD player. Why would you own what I bolded?

The Blu-ray disc in this UHD combo release is the same as the one below, correct? Does it have full color disc label artwork? If so, I'll just make a three title boxset with GHOSTBUSTERS, II, and The Video Game.
[Show spoiler]No, the remake doesn't exist to me. Especially since they should've gone for one of the earlier draft concepts from the OG movie.

But really I own. (Gonna keep it though.)

The Samsung is still $199 on a good day, and I have a projector...so the UHD part isn't paramount right now...I want the Atmos tracks for my 5.1.4 set up. I think the Blu-rays are the same as what you show.

I've heard conflicting stories that 1.) the Xbox One S still has issues with UHD discs and 2.) some early UHD discs had errors and that's why it won't play. If that is the case, I can evidently contact Sony for a new one.

I am patiently waiting for the Atmos update on Xbox by playing the GB video games.

Only the 2009 The Video Game, essentially III/3, is the best. The others, excluding the aforementioned and New Ghostbusters II for NES, are no thanks. Oh right, the arcade game is decent too.
Myself I'm waiting for PC programs to be able to watch UHDs since I don't even own a UHD player yet. Certain the M-Disc burners can read UHD discs, just need the firmware and software to eventually watch them.

I should've bought GHOSTBUSTERS I and II/2 UHDs when they were $15.

I have young kids and they like to play the most recent GB game. It isn't all that amazing, but it is something the three of us can play together.

I play the 2009 version all the time...but I am bad at it, lol. WONDERFUL game!

As a huge ghosthead, I don't mind rebuying the UHD if, in fact, my issue is with the UHD's and not the Xbox. It would be cheaper than buying a new UHD player...and all of this is for not until the bitstream/Atmos update that may or may not happen soon.

I waited on the steelbox and got all three movies for $9.99 each. I know opinions are very divisive over GB2016, but the steelbox looks cool. It is also the first GB my son and daughter saw in theaters. I have the Real Ghostbusters too, and need to get a DVD of Extreme Ghostbusters for the collection.

This is the one disc set I should just wait until it is super cheap right? I have the 2 disc set for 10 dollars with the blu remasters. I hear this one is pretty much the same in 4K besides some extra minor detail....

Just checked this out, and it looks quite good. I'm pleased with the upgrade. The real difference, of course, stems from HDR. Some of the brightness and color that I saw in daytime shots were very, very surprising. Also with the special effects, as they were all designed to have a bit of 'pop' in the film as well. The grain field looks a little chunky here and there, but is overall refined much better than the Blu-ray was. No real complaints here. If this is what catalog films can look like on UHD, I'm all on board for updating my favorite films.

Well a UHD finally made me say "wow!" and it was Ghostbusters, a disc a lot of people say isn't a huge improvement. Well for me it was. There's a lot more fine detail here, especially in daytime scenes. Grain is more resolved and even. The HDR adds a lovely depth to the image without looking gimmicky or revisionist. I freaking loved this disc through and through, blew me away. Comparing it to the BD afterward made that disc look positively dull, and it used to be one of my faves.

I seem to react more to real film movies on UHD and this is a great example. Makes me want to get Goodfellas ASAP and hope for more catalog releases. Just go to the scene where Peck is handed the folder outside the firehouse. Swapping back and forth there blew me away.

I thought I was the only one who thinks the PQ on this is excellent. I think it's a significant improvement over the remastered Blu-ray.

As cliche as it may sound, watching the UHD disc is like watching it for the first time again. From VHS onward, I must have seen this movie a thousand times but the UHD presentation really is something else. Besides the detail and grain you mentioned I also love how the colors look! From the library ghost at the very beginning, the Zuul/Dana scene in her appartment, the lasers from the proton packs, the sirens on Ecto-1 and ofcourse the finale on top of the building, they all look wonderful!

Yeah that looks great too, especially the amount of detail. Sadly I do not like the movie itself at all, gets worse as it progresses. One of the most disappointing sequels ever IMO.

Yeah the colors definitely popped. I'm still messing with my color setting a bit but they looked lovely. I was amazed at how much extra detail and depth I saw though, for a title a lot of people act like was a minor upgrade. Just an immediate and obvious difference, during daytime scenes especially.
