Do you have something new and fresh you'd like to discuss about Superman Returns?

Apparently neither. It seems to be about assessments of my moral character, or lack thereof, LOL.

20? It's far more than that, not counting TV movies and shows. To most people, your career is "dead" if you're not following up Superman with something of the same caliber. These are the same people that said that Carrie and Mark were losers because they weren't Harrison. Yet they failed to notice that both of them have made their mark in their own ways: her as a writer and him as a VO artist. Sure, neither one of them was Indiana Jones but there are various ways to attain success. And it's quite possible that not every actor wants nor needs to be Indiana Jones to be considered successful.

Hell, 99% of working actors don't even get ONE Superman, nevermind 4 of them. And if they can plus continue to work in TV and movies for the rest of their lives, I'd certainly consider that successful.

You dudes are lying to yourselves.

You werent checking for her as an actress after Superman. You never were supporting her work afterwards. You can go on imbd all u want to support your fake fandom to prove she was treading water in the industry with minuscule critical acclaim.

I found kidder very attractive in those films. Her perky personality really did it for me and she's not bad looking. Might be an elbowstoopointy/10 internet scenario here

Margot Kidder is my 70s crush, and I've always thought she was incredibly beautiful in her own unique way. She did basically become the Canadian version of Carrie Fisher though.

If you include voice acting though, Dana Delaney is my favorite. She could've been a good live action Lois too.

I watched "The Superman Anthology" blu-ray this weekend with a twist. I watched Superman: The Movie extended cut, Superman II: The Richard Donner cut along with Superman III, Superman IV, and Superman Returns. And it always strikes me the Lois Lane in Returns looks younger than Lois Lane in the Christopher Reeve's films. I know they should be about the same age and have the same work experience. I was wondering is it me are the films? I really liked Returns as it pays tribute to the Reeves films and even "The Adventures Of Superman", "Great Caesars Ghost!"

Man, even defending her I get this kind of rage! I just meant she looked like she smoked too many cigarettes later on, has that tighter and more quickly aged face in the sequels to me. I still think she's pretty and very much agree on the "stay classy guys" post above.

A large chunk of Superman II was re-shot by Richard Lester including most of the Niagara Falls stuff and the Paris stuff, you can even notice that she looks different at various points in the film.

Now you're being childish and arguing points that weren't even made. She's done a lot of character work post Superman which is more than a lot of actresses in their late sixties. And yes I had to look it up on IMDB, what does that prove? Nobody has to proclaim themselves a Margot Kidder fan to contend that her career isn't dead.

As said above, it can CLEARLY be noticed when they cut in the Lester stuff compared to what was shot originally, she looks so gaunt and angular in the reshot material it's almost kinda scary so you're not wrong to refer to her appearance changing in that way. It's IndyMLVC who needs to take another look at Superman II, methinks.

Me, I thought she was sexy as all get out in Superman 1. Not classically pretty but one hell of a brassy dame.

I was mostly referring to her very public struggle with bipolar disorder, how she's aged, and her personality. I've never heard of Margot being on hard drugs though, except maybe pot.

Since Blues Brothers was Carrie's second most famous role, Margot's was probably The Amityville Horror. Both actresses were mostly famous for one role from the late 70s (Carrie for Princess Leia, Margot for Lois Lane), and there's nothing wrong with that. I don't know why you're going out of your way to hate Margot so much. She's pretty harmless, especially now that she's pushing 70.

Margot does have an Emmy though BTW, winning it just in 2014.
