Sitting here stewing a bit. I’ll catch up anyone who’s not familiar with this brain crusher. We still have a vehicle back in Washington State that a neighbor was supposed to start once a week. I found out at the beginning of the month he’s not been doing that and ran out the gas. I ask if he could put some gas in it if I PayPal’d some money and he went dark on me.

Then I’ve got my BiL not responding to our texts or phone calls. Which isn’t surprising since he didn’t step up before we moved. All I need is someone to put enough gas in the car to make sure it will start to get it on a trailer to be brought here. Otherwise I’m going to have to get on a plane to handle it myself. Which is going to add to our out of pocket getting it here. Thanks for letting me vent.

I think my cat is sick but I don't know with what. All she does is lay around the house out of sight. Sometimes hours go by and I won't see her. This is a cat that used to run around as if she'd just taken drugs. I can't afford a vet so if she doesn't improve I may have to surrender her to a shelter

Our oldest cat is doing that more and more lately, his has pancreatitis and it's getting worse,
yes they feel bad and they want to be alone and feel protected, hence hiding under a bed ..
( and so did all our other cats over the years that have already left us )

All I can say is I hope you do something for your Cat now rather than later!!!

all i'll say is....if your cat (or any pet, for that matter) is sick and can't be treated, please don't let it suffer.

my last cat had a kidney infection that they vet could do nothing about; so i had him put to sleep. the most difficult, easiest decision iv'e ever made. it was easy because i didn't want him to suffer...but it was difficult, too, 'cause i loved that little guy.

We will, and have
Had to do it twice within this last year, our 2 female cats ( mother and daughter ) had to be put to sleep 17 days apart.
They both had their own long term illnesses we had been treating..

Our big boy ( Bobby ) mainly does it when he's feeling a little more under the weather
and it does help to let us know he needs his ( as needed when he feels bad ) medication ..

I can't stand to see suffering in animals or people in real life so I'm not going to sit around like nothing's happening. On the other hand, I simply can't afford to pay for a vet at the moment. What I'll do is monitor the cat and if I don't see any improvement soon I'll contact some local shelters to see if they offer lost-cost vet services. Worse case scenario is I surrender her to a shelter and let them determine the best course.

Duluth appears to have lots of nice stuff. There's a lot I'd like to buy, but they are definitely pricy.

So work something out... some sort of payment plan? Care Credit?
