yes.....

the swelling is basically all gone now. i took some benadryl (tablet form) to see if it would help as i thought it might be some sort of allergic reaction to something. (although i don't know what it could have been as i'm not allergic to anything) and it helped quite a bit.

i told myself last night that if it wasn't any better today that i was going to the medical care center just down the street. thankfully i didn't have to do that.

Diphenhydramine is good, glad it worked out for you. Can't imagine having a severe allergy and having to carry around epi pens.

good...i thought based on your description that it wasn't really serious. could have really just been your gum that was responsible for the swelling.

I didn't really recommend anything, there's limits to what CPhTs can do re patient care and I'm pretty sure that extends to the Internet. Diphenhydramine is Benadryl, which is what he ended up taking and it worked.

so what exactly is a CPhT? how long did it take you to get to where you are now?

I am a PTCB certified Pharmacy Technician, the acronym is CPhT. I am 19 days away from earning my Certificate of Completion in CNM's Pharmacy Technician program, started in it on January 6. Have an interview tomorrow morning at the first place I did an internship at and they loved me there so I imagine I have a better than solid chance at getting the job.

That's definitely not the kind of field to go into unless you're 100% sure. I'm tired of working for other people too but that's mostly related to being a kitchen employee in his mid 30s. Most of my Pharmacy Technician supervisors so far have been immensely more tolerable than most of the kitchen supervisors I've had over the years.

It means my father is going to buy dinner for me, if I get the job tomorrow like I think I will, I'm going to try to get my parents to come up sooner so we can celebrate immediately. Program is pretty much done, all I really need now is my certificate and to walk across the stage at graduation. Oh and to finish my classes and pass my finals but that's a foregone conclusion at this point.

If anyone ever gets thrush in their throat..good luck. I am just fighting it off now. Swallowing was the most painful thing I have ever felt and didn't eat for a few days. Doctors said it was GERD. But after it got worse and worse and white dots appeared in back of throat they knew what it was. Go for a endoscopy this week and have to see infectious diseases doctors because a healthy 25 year old shouldn't be getting this. Something is wrong with my immune system..I just hope nothing serious...

Have you had any other potentially serious diseases or conditions in your 25 years of life that would give some kind of indication about what's happening to you?

I would suggest looking into taking cat's claw (herb) to help with your immune system.
