That wisdom tooth likely needs to be yanked as it is impacted, which will be the cheapest option. Oral surgeons have emergency hours so i would look into option. Teeth are such a f'n nuisance. Def sucks about no insurance but that's my life as well. My dentist would cut me a break because I had no insurance but he retired last year.

I am anxiously awaiting the arrival of my Ghostbusters 4K box set. It is on track for tomorrow. I just hope there is no damage and everything is intact since Amazon decided to begin shipping things in bags now.

Mine was/is damaged.
I seem to be the only one who can't get any reimbursement.
They want me to return the set.

It's crazy to see how someone got 100% reimbursement but others get none. I guess it all depends on who you talk to. Sure...you would love to return it for a replacement that does not exist. You basically lose at that point but you should be given a partial refund. I really wish Sony would intervene at this point and they should given how so many received duplicate films.

The only reason I went with amazon over other retailers is that I wouldn't have my card hit for funds that weren't there until my check came in.

Welllll...this is pretty much a Geek forum. Myself included.
I'm guessing that the number is abnormally high.
Compared to, maybe, hunting or car forums. Places where the testosterone is higher.

I just asked because there's grown men in the Anger thread complaining about no milk at the grocery store and too much snow.

Such mundane things to be angry about. A bunch of grumpy old men with no lives or sexual partners.

I don't know why but when I saw your post I thought of Beavis and Butt-Head when they got put into kindergarten and Beavis and Butt-Head are saying they are angry at numbers because there's "too many of them and stuff".

You mean like complaining about the availability of Hating Game or After We Fell in the Best Buy General Deals thread?

That's an excellent point.

I have an illness that has been difficult to get diagnosed. It causes me constant pain and it's easy to complain about at times. It wears on me.
I try not to complain too much, nor do I do I do that here.
I'm completely aware that there are plenty of people who have it way worse than me. I know people that have died prematurely and their family's grief is tremendous.
Myself, I don't want to die in a hospital, hooked up to a machine and in huge pain. I'm sad for the people I know that have died that way.

The people who you are pointing out, yeah, they ***** a bit much and like you said, about mundane stuff. But they're entertaining. They stir the pot and create discussion. Personally, I think they're out to ****en lunch a lot of the time and I am incredulous and don't relate. But it's still fun to read.
Maybe do it like I do, read and don't react? Though I do enjoy when people like you or HH and/or others react. The entertainment value goes up, hahaha!

I've been shopping for a new (used) car for the past six months. The car market, used and new, is still screwed. I'm not even looking at popular brands, and I am still finding used cars with salvage/rebranded titles selling at a premium...let alone the actual clean rides being overpriced. Most dealers and private parties are going at least 30% above what the "normal" market value would be.

And this has been going on for a bit now. I guess the market would have to normalize again at some point, but it's getting to where it may be worth the gamble to just rebuild the car I already own...if it comes down to that.

Got that right...when my girlfriend totaled her truck a few weeks ago, we decided to wait before shopping for a new one. I've been secretly watching Marketplace/Craigslist ads for older models <2000 that are cheaper to own and easier to work on, plus the fact that she WANTS another vehicle with a manual transmission that's not a sports car our options are extremely limited.

Dealers that I have taken my truck to for service have emailed me saying they want my truck for a trade in. They're saying that they'll give me top dollar, almost what I paid two years ago.
I know that there's been a shortage of new vehicles because of the chip situation. But I don't know how they want my truck for more money than usual and then sell it, making money off of that.
It's been tempting to take them up on it, but I've done stuff to mine and don't want to start that all over, especially the headers, which were a major pain to install.

I was just telling a friend of a nightmare I had last night, where I thought someone had broken into the house and I could hear them running up the stairs towards the second floor - it was so vivid, scary, and unnerving I couldn't fall asleep afterwards.

This is when I knew things were screwed: When even manuals are going at a premium. I am wanting another manual and, in normal times, while still limited in stock, manuals were usually much cheaper to their auto counterparts, due to the lack of demand.

It's like the scarcity has brought former stick drivers back from their current automatics.

I'm also trying to at least stay early-2000s, before cars were equipped with so many new extras to break down. I love base models which I can add extras as needed.

"I mean, if you don't need the truck and can downsize to something smaller, why not?" is what I would say if everything was equal and there wasn't scarcity. The problem is that even cheaper alternatives are overpriced, so you're not getting the cash difference anyway....so, even though it seems cool to sell your truck seemingly depreciation-free after two years, the potential vehicle to replace your truck (if you can even find one) will be so overpriced as to negate your profits from selling the truck.

I've always had a truck and it'd be difficult to down size. In the unlikely chance that I did, a Durango would be probably the only thing I'd trade for. But I've looked and they definitely are pricey. 6-10K more than I'm comfortable paying.

On another note, My daughter sent me a video of her driving her girls to school today and there was something wrong with her suv and was asking me about it. I said there's something wrong with her exhaust, did she hit a high spot in the road. That was this morning, she's since replied that she took it to a shop and they told her that the exhaust was cut out and taken, likely for the catalytic converters.
I've seen the occassional story on the news but it's the first time that it's hit close to home. Her insurance has been pretty good about helping her, including a loaner while the work gets done.

How the heck do they get under these small suvs? I've done exhausts on all of my trucks and have never not had to use jack stands or ramps.

That's crazy! With your comment, I was wondering "Is it even worth it to figure out how to get under a small suv for a cc?", then I did a quick Goog and this is what popped up:

"It doesn't take long for a thief with simple tools to snatch a catalytic converter, the NICB stated, and recyclers usually pay between $50-$250 for one. But the precious metals that come from hybrid vehicles can bring a thief up to $1,500 per catalytic converter."

I’ve got a story about my cats that I’ll post here shortly.
Embarrassing though.

When my Sony player is displaying that I'm hearing the film on Dolby TrueHD 7.1., is that the same thing as Dolby Atmos? I was watching Zero Dark Thirty.

I have an older Sony Bravia TV. Thanks.
