A spotted lantern fly flew onto me yesterday as I was walking down the street. It felt like I was hit with a giant ball of hardened chewing gum. What the hell is in these things? We're supposed to squash them when we spot one but I just couldn't bring myself to do it after I swatted it off my shoulder.

Went grocery shopping and then the hardware store. Lowes and Home Depot already have their Christmas decorations out for sale. Also, a 24 pack of AA Energizer batteries is now $22, friggin ridiculous.

F*cking Best Buy, man. They're a literal game of chess. I get an e-mail today saying my DC League of Super Pets 4K pre-order has shipped and will be arriving a day early on Monday yet my Poltergeist 4K is still on hold after all this time.

I think what I dislike most about Mirror's Edge: Catalyst is how clean, sleek and futuristic everything looks. It really is the city of glass now. The original struck a better balance between present and future. Things were still oversized, but it knew better when to look more practical and not so expensive for the city builders of that world.

I was shocked to see that my copy of Dracula arrived today from BB. I agree that it's a game of chess though. I've had that happen plenty of times.

I got my food from Sam's Club. Expecting those rotisserie chicken enchiladas I got for tomorrow's Cowboys game to be ridonc.

I forgot about your first Sam's Club run. I actually had the enchiladas for the first time last week. They're not bad for what they are but they lacked beans and veggies. It's just cheese and chicken for the most part which I'm sure is fine for most people. I loaded mine up with jalapenos, sour cream with some hot sauce.

Debating if I made a good decision after purchasing the F13 box set for $80. It's a great price but I feel like we'll be seeing 4K individual releases relatively soon.

Today already marks one year that I started working at Walmart. The job has been crazy these last several months, but I've gotten to know some great people who are fun to work with (even if most are half my age), and so much of my life has changed. My self confidence and self esteem have gone up considerably, I feel like I'm taking better care of myself, I have money, I have my own car again; heck, I've even recently gone on a couple dates (my first in quite awhile) with a wonderful and very pretty girl! For the first time in a long time I feel really good. I'm excited to see what the next year will bring and how my life will continue to change.

Noticed today how ugly the new Crazy Taxi cover is. Remembered the original American one.

New digital cover on Steam and other services:

It's typical. Paintings and drawings are seen as archaic, whether they're movie covers or video game covers.

At Denny's before work and they're playing Girls Chase Boys by Ingrid Michaelson. Great song. I'm also thinking about buying Bloody Well Right by Supertramp. I had heard it at work a couple times recently and after the most recent time, I had forgotten the lyrics and didn't know the name of the song.
