I find with the Thanks button system here, that sometimes they're like what they say about waiting for a bus: nothing for ages, then two come at once. You can have periods where you're getting a steady flow of Thanks added to posts you've made, then there are other times where you've put the effort into a post and get nothing. Yet some consistently get at least half a dozen Thanks for nearly every post they make (and some of those are for re-posted reviews).

Well I do like a good cheese, but I try not to eat past midnight. You never know what could happen

Finished Bloodborne for the 21st time. In 3 weeks, I completed that game 8 times. Deciding what I should do next. Sigh……………………

Was in Queens today picking up a car from Paragon Acura with a friend of mine. Traffic wasn't too bad for a Saturday. Pretty beat though as I slept like crap last night and had to get up at 6am. Hit Trader Joe's and Shake Shack on the ride back.

Got my mom's RDX from Paragon. Was the first car I ever bought and while their finance manager pulled the ol' "I'm losing money on this car selling it to you at this price" BS, he still helped me out because that car was my first "real debt". Without it, I wouldn't have been able to get my Honda or my house.

Did you go to the Trader Blow and Shake Shack in Westbury? I was there this morning at like 10am stocking up on supplies for the week.

For some reason I always thought you were from California based on your handle. Assumed the "sf" was San Francisco.

Sounds like you should play Bloodborne again. If you have it on PC play one of the mods.

LOL yeah..not sure how I feel about the salesman over at Pgon. The whole Acura Certified program is a joke as well. My friend ended up with 2 key fobs but they both say driver 2 and one isn’t even the correct key lol. Tried it in the door and glovebox. Speaking of glovebox, it also came with no manual.

The RDX is a nice SUV. I was given a loaner (‘21 Advance package), over the weekend last year and it was impressive. Hopefully they bring back the turbo.

I actually went to Joe’s (blow lol), and Shake Shack in NJ. I bet Shake Shack in Westbury is really nice. I’ve been to the Trader Joe’s in Garden City. Is that the one you go to? Parking lot is a shitshow lol.

f**k car salesmen, finance, the whole auto industry really... I've been doing it since I got out of high school and will be walking away from it soon, and I won't miss any of it!... when they say they are losing money it really means they aren't making as much as they want to... those jerkoffs write their own paychecks and make promises their @sses can't cash and then want to nickel and dime people like myself to do the real work for them

LOL oh man. Let me tell the story of what happened with my Palisade.

So the finance manager starts writing numbers on a paper and I know what he's doing. He wants me to buy the extended warranty. So he shows me the monthly payment with and without the warranty and I say "So, you want me to pay $3,800 for the warranty?" and he says "No, it's $3,500 plus tax." LOL wtf am I speaking Japanese?

So I tell him if you sell it to me for $1,500, tax included, I'll take it right now. and he says he cannot do it and if I don't buy it now they cannot sell me the warranty after the sale and how my car has a lot of electronics in it and it's best I buy it because if something goes wrong with my electronics, I'll be screwed. I tell him I'm good.

I go out to finish up the paperwork with the salesman and he comes back out and gives the "We want to do the best for our customers" crap and he offers to sell it to me for $2,500. Then he asks the salesman to remind him what car I'm buying and then he goes "Ssssssss that's a lot of electronics..." and walks away. LOL

That night, I go home and call a lady in Vermont, and buy the exact 10-year, 100,000 mile Platinum extended warranty coverage for $1,200 including sales tax.

I understand the guy is just doing his job but come on. So scummy the way he went about it.

Ah, cool. There's a Trader Blow and Shake Shack in Westbury (which is likely the Garden City location you referenced because it's the only one in the area) and they are in the same complex which is why I thought that was where you went.

not to mention a lot of times those warranties don't cover much anyway, like I said those guys are writing their own checks... and I can't tell you how many times I've seen dealerships take in crap cars as trades or bought from an auction and decline to do any of the needed work, sell a warranty to the customer, and tell them to come back after the warranty goes into effect to get the car fixed... that way the dealer makes even more money by not fixing the car, selling a warranty, and essentially scams the warranty company (I wonder how the company would feel about that if they knew!)... the auto industry has a bad name for a reason and I have a lot of animosity towards it if you can't tell lol

went to ER tuesday. they found a blockage so they sent me to bigger hospitial. they found a blood clot in my intestine in my hernia. all i have are my small intestines. they said if left untreated it would kill my intestines. but they were able to get it under controll with blood thinner.. would have to do surgery if it didnt get better. not sure if i will have to have surgery later on. but my surgeon says i need to lose weight before surgery stayed in ER since tuesday out in the floor. bc of no rooms. finally got an ER room thursday. then a real room maybe friday night. got home sunday.

I can't imagine what you're going through, I truly hope you are able to get the help you need and are able to live free of pain... I admire others like yourself that are able to have a positive attitude despite the circumstances, I don't know if I would be able to do the same

I've dropped my cell phone a handful of times but the screen has never cracked...until last month. I'm surprised it lasted this long (cheap phone, too). So anyway, it looks like something is leaking from the inside through the crack - is this something I should be concerned about? I mean, it's not toxic or anything?

Im no expert by any means but if its a LCD screen that is what could be leaking. Just a thought. I cant imagine anything else in a cell phone that would leak.

No one is perfect, not even those who nit-pick and pick on one person in particular. Typically, it happens on a Friday for some reason. There are more positive people than negative ones, and that's what I try to focus on, as well as not letting certain others knock me off the straight path I want to be on. Those negative people, the best to do in response is to ignore them. What helps as well is the advice from the friends and close friends you get on with and respect (two of my beliefs are treating others as I would like to be treated, and to treat others as an equal).

Well, I lost that old Android phone and decided to replace it with an iPhone (got the 13). I hope I didn't make a mistake. Can't get anything to work. Can't download Google or Gmail to access my email, can't add apps because I don't have an Apple ID but can't get an ID because I can't access my email. Trying to add my new number to My AT&T Profile but I can't because the passcodes the phone is sending me aren't being accepted

Sucks to hear you're having troubles with your phone. I have a 13 Bro and it is the best phone I have ever used in my life. The camera on this thing is so good. I went from an iphone 6 to this one so it was a pretty big leap.

Hope you can get it sorted. I'm sure you have already tried it but maybe a factory reset will do the trick. Although I'm sure that's not needed since you just got the phone so it is already factory settings.

Anyone who lives or works in a big city, like me, knows coffee shops are a dime a dozen. Seems to be one on every block, and they're not all franchises like Starbucks. But this is just coffee, right? It's made the same way it always has been from the beginning, or is it made differently these days? I just don't understand what the differences are between one coffee shop and the next.
