As for me? I'm happy the 49ers won, but have to play up in Seattle now with all those loud mouth fans.

I had quite an eventful morning.

I spent the weekend at my girlfriend's and at about quarter-past-six, we were woken up by the sound of somebody knocking on the door and the dog barking in response. Naturally, we were both puzzled as to why somebody was knocking at this time. My girlfriend peered out of the bedroom window and saw a man walk away from the house, and then back again. Shortly after, we heard the front door open. We must have forgotten to lock the front door as the man had let himself in.

Anyway, we threw on our clothes and headed to the top of the stairs. It was pitch black in the hallway and I assumed that maybe we'd been mistaken, only the dog soon darted past us and was barking at something by the front door. I then noticed movement in the darkness as somebody was crouched in the corner. I walked down the stairs and told them to 'get the **** out of my house.' I could barely see them as it was so dark, but they held their hands up, said 'Okay' repeatedly and left.

Pretty freaky stuff. I can't help but feel somewhat paranoid since and I'm afraid that I'm just going to equate a simple knock on the door with panic from now on.

Yeah, my girlfriend contacted 101 and explained everything that had happened. They passed this information on to the local police and a cop came over shortly after.

No, it's a non-emergency police service. We figured that since the guy had left and we weren't in a life-or-death situation, it wasn't worth calling 911/999.

Guy is lucky, some houses you do that in and you either have a gun or knife waved at you or even get shot or stabbed.

When you are up in life, your friends get to know who you are. When you are down in life, you get to know who your friends are. There will be many people who will be great to be around when times are easy. Instead take note of the people who remain in your life when times are hard. The friends that are willing to sacrifice their time and the resources they have in their life to help improve yours. Those are your real friends. A real friend is one who walks in when the rest of the world walks out.
