The word itself isn't of English origin but it can be sourced back to the Latin for edible.

35 inches of snow we got at my house with this storm...no work today and they may call us off again tomorrow..

One thing that sucks is there is too much snow to snowmobile...until the groomers hit the trails tonight and tomororw

They are talking about another potential big storm sunday night into monday for us in the NE again...not sure where all this snow will go...went out today and pulling out into main roads is a major accident waiting to happen
