Unfortunately, it seems like there are more people nowadays that can't see past themselves nor tolerate differences of opinions. Remember Ethan Couch who received probation for killing four people while driving drunk and speeding? He got off due to his lawyers' defense of "affluenza" rather than personal responsibility. Doesn't surprise me he violated his probation conditions and is now serving a two year sentence. More people need the "tough love" approach rather than being handled gently like they're fragile.

Something also on my mind in the news- the recent story about Brock Turner, the ex-Stanford student who raped the unconscious girl after a party. He's now the most hated man in America (well, second-most now) and his parents are just blindly supporting him. He got off with three months in jail, and what struck me the most is- does he not know how lucky he is that his parents willfully supported him after he committed rape? Mine would probably remind me daily about the inconvenience I made to them until the stress ate me alive. He got off way too lightly and now they're appealing that decision, makes no sense.

This enabled him to lie and not take responsibility for what he did and not give the victim closure because the parents gave him a way out- why not plead guilty and just say, "I was awkward with women and wanted to touch her BECAUSE she was unconscious as I didn't think she'd remember it and suffer?" He's become vilified in the media because of the lying just to try to not appear like a beta, and how this all happened just boggles the mind.

It may look like he got off lightly this time, but he will eventually get his comeuppance.

I hope the girl he assaulted finds peace. She said the stress of him not admitting what he did was killing her. Hope she finds her way.

And I hope the families of the victims of the Orlando shooting find peace. Nobody deserves to die in such a random way just because of how they choose to live their life, nobody. To die by a stranger's hand not even knowing why... that's just too sad to contemplate.

Feel a little weird throwing away all the BD cases, just to save space for my collection. Maybe I should save them and at the end of the year, give them away. Just doesn't feel right, too much of a waste.

Decided my workout schedule at the gym will be Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays lifting and Tuesdays and Thursdays stationary biking. Definitely taking the tablet tomorrow so the hour of biking will be a bit more entertaining.

I read yesterday that if you chill coffee beans before you grind them, it gives your morning, or whenever, cup a bit more flavor. And because the internet is 100% correct all the time, I did just that...f*ck you internet, you're wrong. My coffee this morning tastes of stale vagabond trousers—that sweat stained woolly corduroy you see stretched across the middle lane as you drive by, wondering why in the hell is there a pair of pants in the middle of the road. Well now you know: someone chilled their coffee beans the previous night, took a morning sip and lost their shit because they chilled the entire 2.5lb bag of beans instead of experimenting with a few tbsps first.

They, in a fit of rage, then kicked open the kitchen door, ran across to the 87yo neighbor's home and while shouting phrases in German, front flipped through the bedroom window to grab a pair of pants draped over the bathroom door. Next, they put the pants on their head and like a mad bunny rabbit, hopped back through the window and proceeded to run full blast out of the neighborhood, down the street and onto the main road leading into town. At the first red-light, a woman driving one of those smart cars, sees this person running straight towards her, she gets frightened and stomps the accelerator. Fortunately for pants-on-head man this woman is driving the most ridiculous, and pretentious car on the market. Seriously, this car has like 13hp with .3 lb.-ft., so this person is hit just hard enough to knock the pants off their head, and little bit of sense back into their brain.

And that's how clothes get on the road, or something very similar to.

I got signed off not too long ago on Haul Truck and will be staying an extra week, for the first time in a different department than usual.
There's a Dozer Operator who's a real bastard to Truck Drivers here. I was looking forward to/dreading my inevitable clash with him. As it turns out, he's on vacation so I won't be dealing with him.
It would've been nice to put him in his place. But at the same time, I could've gotten myself into trouble.
This is probably a blessing in disguise.
