wondering why did i decided that sellar supermart over at amazon when i order batman mystery of the batwoman bluray was a swell idea this past weds yes it got shipped that friday with no tracking number

what makes me mad the fact that i called supermart on the phone women refuse to give it to me because they will only give tracking numbers if its around 50 bucks

and since i paid it used 11.81 only option is just wait told me might come this week or next

you guys thinks its right that this 3rd party company supermart refuse to give any tracking number on an item unless its around 50 bucks

this will be 1st and last time i'll order any movies from supermart though amazon meh

I waited too long to order a couple of movies I wanted and they're now sold out. With Black Friday just happening, I should've known better.

Here's a question for some older members here--was Lego always as expensive as it is now? I look at these ridiculous Lego prices nowadays but people insist that's just the result of inflation. There are even stats out there to prove it. And yet, I can't believe a 100-200 piece set of Lego that cost $10 in the 80s should cost sometimes as much as 10x that amount today

Yes. I grew up in the 80's and if we got a large Lego set for Christmas it was a big deal.

My parents were cheapskates in the 80s. If anything cost over $20, I could forget about it. And yet I had (seemingly) plenty of Lego lying around. I'm pretty sure one time they got me a pretty sizable bucket and they paid less than $20 for that purchase.

I remember even asking my mother about it recently. She insists those Lego sets I got were not expensive. I don't think she would lie about it either, she was not the type to spend a lot on me and not tell me about it. On the contrary, she would often use big purchases as a way to get me to do more chores/work around the house, etc, to make up for it.

Maybe they were just really good at finding sales and clearance deals.

Shopping can be so frustrating when no two employees seem to know all the store rules and policies.

I had bought some movies from Best Buy that are now part of the buy 1 get 1 free Sony sale. So I went back with just the receipt to return and rebuy. The employee wouldn't do it without the actual movies, claiming she had to close out the purchase to open a new one. I couldn't even just grab copies of my movies off the shelf for her to scan and keep. It had to be the actual movies I had bought.

Now I knew for a fact that's not how things work because I've had someone do a complete return and rebuy for a price adjustment before, just as I've had someone who simply refunded me the price difference before. More than one way to do things.

So I go back a few days later with just the receipt, guy working the customer service desk did the return and rebuy, no problems whatsoever.

I'm fortunate to have such an understanding wife.
She's invited to a bunch of Christmas Parties, which extends to me as well. She asked, but totally understood when I said no. They're all white collar and I am blue collar. Her co-workers and I don't have a lot in common. I can talk hockey and football with a couple of them for a bit, but the dominating conversations are always about work and systems, which I know nothing about.
Her first party is tonight and she's cool with me going to play poker.

For anyone that uses the Disney Movie Rewards thing.

How do you use the points, without redeeming the Digital Copy. I read someone said you can redeem the points, but still sell the digital copy yet? How?

I was just talking to my brother about this the other day. We noticed some expensive sets in the store recently. Neither of us can remember the sets being so expensive in the past. Maybe we just never paid close attention back then. I see some smaller sets nowadays that are cool, but the price tag has me like

I don't know if this is the only way to do it, but someone has to redeem the digital copy in Vudu or wherever, then you can redeem the code in DMR for points only.

Not too long ago, this would result in two digital copy redemptions, but Disney shut that down.

So the DC has to be redeemed first before redeeming the points? Or you mean redeem the DC on Vudu and the code on DMR for the points?

I hope I understood that right.

Yes, the DC has to be redeemed someplace that's not DMA/DMR, then you can get the points on DMR. Maybe there's other ways, but that's the way I know.

Okay, thanks. I just wanted to make sure. I have 414 points and wanted enough to get 2 $5 DMR MFG coupons.

Some poor dog has been howling in anguish for the last couple of hours. Not sure if he is being crate trained or has just been forgotten.

About to hit the gym for the start of month 7 after taking a week off while I was traveling to and from Minnesota. Thinking about how much I'm going to weigh at the end of the session and how my body's going to respond after a decent break.

This guy is on point. I hate watching makeup tutorials and the girls take 10-15 minutes putting on so many layers...it's gross and unnatural. I also don't like seeing women my age and older wearing "childish" makeup, ya know like ultra-brights and pinks and having those spotlight eye contour looks. I'm not saying you need to wear "old" makeup, but you should look sophisticated and you can be fun/flirty at the same time. But please...stop with the glitter.

I'm not sure many people under what a business is and that their goal is to make money. I was reading Facebook comments about WB records release of Avenged Sevenfold greatest hits 2005-2013 and they are crazy. People are calling it a cash grab and talking how the band doesn't approve of the release blah blah blah. No kidding it is a cash grab. Their goal of the company is to make money. Popular band leaves your label than best way to make more money off them is a greatest hits release. No kidding the band doesn't approve, but who cares? WB owns that music as has every right to release it. WB doesn't played games releasing it so close to the Stage, but again who cares?

Just not sure people get that WB records, Sony Pictures, EA games, and whatever big company you can think of all have the goal to make money. Their goal isn't the artistic vision....it's the money.
