A used 2008 Honda Civic If you pitch in, we can certainly rent something more stylish

those are sick! I had a neighbor (apartments) that had one and a hot wife too. They moved out and I could only imagine that they bought. Certainly don't think they got priced out. This was in San Jose where you can imagine how ridiculous the rent/mortgage is up here. Of course where you're at can't be any better. I've had 3 Honda Civics and I don't think in my whole life I'll ever be able to afford what I really want, something German but I can dream.
Kind of reminds me of something humorous I said to my mom (we thought it was funny anyway). We were in Los Gatos which is pretty upscale and we saw one of the new corvettes and wow nice car but then we saw that Maserati and I made a quip like "yeah one of those you get at the Chevy dealer and one you get at the exotic car dealer". She thought it was funny at least

Olive Garden is overpriced in general. Their glasses of wine are like $8 but you can buy the full bottle at a liquor store for like $12-$15

Their food is basic and simple to make but they charge $12-$20. You can probably get the ingredients at a grocery store for that price and make a bunch of your own. Don't get me started on their "chicken".. it's like a deep fried chicken patty. They can't even do real chicken breasts. That sucks.

If they didn't have the soup/salad and endless breadsticks (which are amazeeeee), they probably wouldn't be in business anymore.

My friend is spending the night and I'm glad he is. I worry about him and at least here I know he's safe.

Their bread sticks are amazing. They're covered in salt and oil though so if that's not your thing you probably won't like them. When you get them, ask for a side of marinara sauce and dip away.

Oh I think I'd like them very much! I would actually pass on the marinara though. I do fish (fish and chips style) with no tartar sauce, chips with no salsa, onion rings with no ranch etc. About the only dipping sauce that I really LOVE is French onion dip with potato chips

That's good that you're keeping an eye on your friend. I'm assuming you meant he could be a danger to himself but of course it could have been for any reason including he had too much to drink. Anyway, good lookin' out

My mind, I always forget if Spain is 8 hours ahead like the UK and like I think it should be or if it's 9 hours ahead. Checked World Time Clock and they are 9 hours.

I'm dreading going back to work tomorrow. Been up for almost 72 hours straight. I took my daughter to her first live performance on Broadway Friday night, then we had a 50 mile bike race yesterday (Saturday), and my uncle insisted on taking us to his local speedway for a stock car race last night.

I'm not bustin' your balls but I am wondering if you're operating a motor vehicle with such little sleep. Of course you may not be feeling tired so maybe you're fine to drive. I've never done 72 hours before but I don't do drugs either

Yup but have you ever tried sleeping 2 in a single cab pick-up? LOL I did pull over once for a quick nap, I had my head against the driver's door and my legs were stretched over into the passenger floorboard, I was only barely on the seat - talk about uncomfortable. My daughter was cuddled up on the seat leaning against me, so I was trying to shift her a bit without waking her to get comfortable myself. After about 10 min I said screw it and got back on the road. I did stop twice for coffee along the way. When we got home around 5:00 this morning I put the kid in her bed and crashed on the couch, still woke up at 9 though so I've only been running on 4 hours of sleep all weekend...

Oh, where were you driving to Mike? I read stop and sleep and it makes me think it's like this crazy long road trip. That's cute though that you didn't want to wake her. The Broadway show as in New York.

And just got done reading about journalists in Mexico being brutalized by the cartels and politicians and law enforcement. Seriously makes me wish I was an ex SEAL or ex Delta Force operator and was doing private security (mercenary) work protecting innocent people in a lawless land.
