I can't believe this went as far as it did let alone the teacher losing his job. What were they thinking when someone filed a complaint with the sheriff's office for "pornography". I remember when I was in sixth grade the school taught mandatory "sex education" in health class. I can only imagine how parents would respond to something like that today.

![]() None of my past schools (elementary, middle, high school) offered it. Though I’m sure if they did, it would have probably been optional. |

Wow. I first had sex education in 6th grade, and then it was part of just about every science class I had from 7th-12th grade. Nothing in college, though, unless it was available as an elective class.

It's hard to distinguish between the SJWs and traditional moralists these days. lol a nude painting in art class. OMG who would have thunk it! This whole situation reads like satire. Anyone remember when satire was easyish to pick up on? lol you guys remember that?

I'm thinking of getting a display case for my wall to fill with baseball cards of my favorite players growing up. And since the internet has revealed just how common these cards are from the mass-produced era, they're quite cheaper now then when I was collecting them.
I'm thinking of just getting rookie cards of these players but for some of them I'm not sure if I want their official regular rookies cards or their traded/extended cards from the year before. I don't want to buy both years, so which one would you get? If my memory is correct, Beckett would label them as RC and XRC cards. |

I’m thinking this is next for my collection. Just have to find it for the right price.

I was just thinking about the weird arbitrary cut-off dates for school grades. For example, just because I was born in November and my friend was born in December, we were put in different grades. Thus I graduated at 17 but the same year my friend was in 11th grade, despite us both being born in the same year and both being 17 that summer... all because I was turning 18 one month sooner than him.
And that’s all it was, it’s not like I skipped a grade or anything, it’s just how things turned out. I remember asking him at the time, and he wasn’t left back a grade either. The effed up thing is, he got super jealous that he still had another year and school and it ended our friendship. He wouldn’t hang out anymore or anything, just because of something I had no control over. |

i believe the rule was that you had to be 7 years old by the time school started. and they wouldn't allow you to start school if you were to turn 7 within the school year. i actually remember a friend having to waiting a whole year more since his birthday was the week after school started. they wouldn't even allow him to start like that. just one more reason i'm a huge proponent of home schooling. |
