^^Better than my Flintstone feet HB Filled out my first negative survey before The Mrs got home. Had a cashier at Target tell me I shouldn't confront my son in public when I was using the 1-2-3 Magic method my wife and I use for discipline. Keep in mind, I didn't yell or hit my son like some parents do. I just told him firmly that he was at a 2 and we'd be at a 3 if he didn't stop. Which meant time out in the truck for 15.

If she hadn't already cashed me out I probably would have just returned the stuff to customer service and went out of my way to another store to pick up his Coco exclusive. I think a lot of the problem is people judge my son's age based on his height and don't realize he's 8.5. Which is no excuse for shitty behavior. He knew he crossed a line with me by the time we left. Anyway, hated doing it, but my son wasn't the only one who crossed a line today. Have to wonder if I'll hear from the store manager or one of the leads on this?

tell them to **** off and mind their own business. if you're not beating your child, then it's no one else's business how you discipline your own child.

she/he definitely would have gotten an ear-full from me. you do NOT tell me how to discipline my own kids (not that i have any, but if i did....)

that's one thing that will set me off, even in public. you keep to your own **** and i'll keep to mine.

I was up all night Monday with no sleep. I went to bed early last night and woke up at about 2:30 this morning. I was about to go back to bed when I heard a rapid, incessant "clicking" in the wall between the bedroom and the closet in my apartment. At first though I thought it must be something electronic, and proceeded disconnecting the cord from a few things such as the Blu-ray player. No luck. I finally determined that there is some sort of rodent in the wall directly behind the Blu-ray player. Not too far from a light switch either. He finally gave up gnawing at about 8:00 this morning. I hope it doesn't continue, and I really hope he doesn't eventually break through into the closet. I'm assuming possibly a squirrel (?), as the backyard is full of them.
A couple of years ago, it was birds nesting right above my bed, as there was a hole where a floodlight was never installed. Here we go again.

Yeah, it's cool I don't need to use the bathroom to do my business, brush my teeth and shower at all today.

What man uses the bathroom for 2 hours at a time? Can't wait to get my own place in August. Sick of having roommates.

Your toes seem to be about the same length as mine. I do have a size 13 foot though.
On a related note... I was in a KFC about a week ago and the cashier said, "Can I tell you something?" I said, "Yes." She then said, "You have the nicest nails I've ever seen!" That's the second such compliment I've gotten in recent years. I'm wondering if I need to become a hand model.

Ya know, cheese and crackers is such an underrated snack. A nice extra sharp white cheddar and some crumbly wheat crackers is just so damn good.

And salami. Summer sausage. Bologna. However you desire your choice of meat(s)

Despite my Italian ethnicity, I've never been a big fan of that kinda stuff as a snack. (Notice how I deftly avoided any mention of me not liking those types of meats? )

I was living off of Ritz crackers with port wine cheese in recent weeks.

Dry salami with cracked pepper paired with goat cheese (Chèvre).

I totally agree. Normally I would have had something to say, but I didn't need a 2 front skirmish. Plus, this was Target, not Wal-Mart and I live in hippie dippy land. I'm sure she felt her intentions were good. Especially since she was probably just a kid herself. Old enough to be working, but still in braces. Still, she crossed a line.

Hey Rage, have you done any recon of Seattle on where you guys are going to go? I'm headed up tomorrow and looking for places to eat and drink around the convention center. I'd ask the place I'm staying at, but they are constantly trying to get me to join something my wife already buys into. Stupid timeshares . Convenient, but inconvenient at the same time.

I have no problem disclipling my kids in public. People can judge all they want but there's a strong lack of parenting done today.

And I discipline by all means. Sometimes 1-2-3, though not often. I'm more of a yeller and the whole "i'll beat yo ass right here if I have to" type.

I actually have, I'm a big Yelper so I usually just create a new collection and add places to that.

SO happy the Jets cut Mo Wilkerson the bum. He became the biggest piece of crap after he got his big money (which was the NYJ's fault). Good riddance!

Well, I know I'm a good dad or this shit wouldn't be gnawing at me like a tick on a dogs ass. I swear the 5 years I was in the Army was easier than parenting has been Yep, I'm definitely a yeller too. So much that both he and my wife put their hands over their ears when I'm in full Dad voice mode. But I tone it down to a low growl for public appearances. That, and the 1-2-3 usually work, but he was digging in his heels pretty hard yesterday. And the shitty part is it was over stupid shit
