Wondering why bad things happened to me do last night bbrother took me see new mission impossible imax at theater walk out darkness was doing shortcut to car
1st off i step on a can, said watched step didn't look down
I fell down pavement left shoe came off btw had little cuts hands and red
Left kneecap dark/dry up blood right kneecap skin up
I guess i twisted ankle its little sore right kneecap sore/stings as well meh
Lord just had some pain getting under covers on coach lef foot in first ohh left ankle sore
I hope go to zoo this morning

I was being funny when I said "Stealing stuff is bad..." I did not intend for it to be a declaration that I agreed with the assault of others.

I don't think I'm going to make it as a shop supervisor. My first week and I've already had to coach one of my team members. I swear he's a flipping idiot! He doesn't know his right from his left, he could have seriously screwed up a customer's engine block by stripping out the threadz on the oil filter locale. I took him out of the pit and had him inventory our stockroom where i learned he can't count over 10. I feel bad for him, he's a good natured guy but with a lack of these basic skills he's not going to make it. I don't know if I'm going to be able to fire anyone, even though I realized when i accepted this job that it was one of the requirements but I didn't think I'd actually have to, little did i know the company's HR manager wouldn't screen applicants better.

I plan on taking the time to shadow this guy and show him what he's doing wrong and hopefully find some thing he can do. Maybe reassign him to detailing, I'm sure he could run a vacuum and wash windows...I mean an untrained monkey could handle that job,right?

It was kind of disturbing watching that video. The employee had a right to defend herself but certainly not the way she did. She should have tried to deescalate the situation. I think I could have handled it quite well as I have a very soothing voice when I want to

the great ethernet wiring project phase 1 is over (everything but bedroom 1 n main bathroom)- should have finished it months ago!! but stuff n things

phase 2 is next up: hard wiring the bedroom aka 'let's knock holes in the wall'!!

phase 3 main patch panel install

(the next are kinda but not exactly related, but blah, n numbering is almost meaningless)

phase 4 - should i just buy a bleeding rack? or racks?

phase 5 - master media hub panel (think media lab set-up)

phase 6 - work on home security grid and move stuff to the 'server room'

phase 7 - smart lighting

phase 8 - erect a giga net

phase 9 - main bathroom: ipad wall display

phase 10 - kitchen? - speakers? ipad?

phase 11 - bird cam for cat

phase 12 - replace router n wifi; add wifi or go Apples (new thing replacing airport etc)

re: phase 4...yes. i plan on doing pretty much what you're doing when i (someday) get another job and start saving some more money. and i plan on using racks to mount everything.

basically i want to put all the hardware in a closet, add an exhaust to keep it cool, and run wires to every room in the house (maybe not the bathrooms, lol), via the attic.

i also want to switch to smart lighting, a nest control for the heat-a/c, and use smart TVs with voice control (using my current echo and adding echo dots in other rooms).

I just returned from my sister’s house. My nephew recently got his driver’s license and received a 2003 Toyota Tacoma 4x4 truck. He took me on a drive around the neighborhood for a bit. Truck has a new rear bumper, Kenwood stereo and a kill-switch.
When I was his age I was still riding the bus to school, lol. So jealous......

Do you work for a large company that has room for people to learn on the job? Most companies, especially smaller ones, have low tolerance for people who can't do their jobs properly. Screening prospective employees thoroughly helps to weed out the bad apples but sometimes HR can't be bothered and they'll just fill positions quickly. Letting someone go can't be easy but it IS part of the job of supervisor.

The employee didn't react that way because the woman was stealing, she reacted that way because the customer threw a milkshake at her then hit her in the face with a tray - they both assaulted each other. The employee did over-react though and if I was that customer I'd be licking my chops at a tasty lawsuit and a lifetime of free drinks at McD's.

There's a new-ish guy at work (swing shift so I only see him for like an hour a day) who is super cute (but probs straight) that just started randomly talking to me one day. He barely knows me but makes sexual jokes constantly and touches me and he has no idea how much of a turn on it is for me but I have to pretend not to like it and it's killing me.

Why not just see if he’s interested? Try to catch him outside of work, just in case he’s not into it, so he can’t claim work-site harassment.
