The 25th anniversary is next year. Lionsgate will probably trot out a repackage of the existing disc to coincide with the release of the new movie and then release a proper remaster in 2016 (along with a 4K version, fingers crossed).

Good call, that'll be near enough the end of 2015 so they could call it the 'anniversary edition' a couple months ahead of time.

I'm still hoping for a badass 3D conversion but shirley we'd have heard something about it by now ('cause it wouldn't be no '8 week' conversion job)?

In late 2014, I think in October, they showed The Terminator in Los Angeles with Cameron and Hurd in attendance. Someone asked, and Cameron pointed at the guy in charge of Fox's home video department and basically said "ask him."

I'm curious about something. Did anyone here have the DVD T2 edition that had that easter egg where you click on something then punch in a code and you get the extended edition on the movie? I watched it once and liked it but don't have that DVD anymore.
Do any of the current Blu ray editions have that easter egg? I've got two blus and would like to see that edition again.

Fox just released Working Girl with a new 2 or 4k scan for god's sake. I'm sure they would have released True Lies and Abyss by now if they had their say. Cameron probably wants money and time to do it his way.

pretty sure that's on the Skynet Edition... you have a choice of the theatrical or extended cut, but if you enter the code 81797 (?) it will play the special extended edition...
