Also, reading some old threads on various forums, the UK version I have gets high marks for video quality, so it does not seem like this Skynet Blu-ray version is going to have much better image quality. OTOH, who knows how long my HD-DVD players are going to last, so it may be worth $5 to have it on Blu-ray!

The new movie is coming out in July, so if they are going to release a remaster, we should be hearing about it relatively soon I would think. If they don't release it this year, then I don't see when the next opporunity really is for them.

I so much want to watch it (I haven't for years, and it's among my favourite films of all time), and I'm waiting for a new Bluray.
I don't want to buy the existing one, nor I want to watch my PAL DVD.

(and while they're at it, they could release a double box set includ. Terminator with the original mono audio!

Could they make a bonus Blu-ray with all the DVD and Laserdisc extras and a retrospective how T2 influence modern blockbusters?
