Also there is Strange Invaders, Morons from Outer Space, Masters of the Universe, ROTOR.. lots of 80s scifi out there.

then it couldn't release Runaway, and some other sci-fi from my wishlist.

Runaway is Columbia/Tristar.

That seems to be the case, at least as it pertains to the major studios. Only Kino representatives and insiders would know if there are any deals in place or looming on the horizon with any of the other major studios.

Someone asked the Kino insider on HTF about Radioactive Dreams - he didn't say if Kino has it but he did enlighten the readers by speculating who he believes may have the rights (MGM or Lionsgate through DeLaurentiis Entertainment Group). It's tricky trying to decipher these responses when they're being vague but my guess is it's MGM, which means it's likely someone will release it. It's open season at MGM.
