I voted no because I didn't really care for the movie. If I liked it even a little then I would be getting it on blu.

I think we already have a thread about this, although I'm not sure if it was a poll.

I would buy it, so my answer is yes.

The movie sucked. I thought so anyway... I think growing up with it I expected much more.

LOL! Unfortunately I do. I bought the movie without seeing it first because of the hype. Lewis Stevens was just too much for me.

I actually have both formats and oddly enough Transformers was the movie I finally put my foot down on, meaning I stopped buying HD DVD movies altogether at that point. I mean no Lossless audio? C'mon!! I did rent it and the sound was pretty damn good but I always think about how much better it would have been if it was lossless. Rewarding companies that put out half ass releases when so much more is possible is a big no no for me. Since than,to me, HD DVD's slogan has become The look and sound of mediocre.

As someone mentioned in another thread, I'd buy it to support Michael Bay and the wonderful job he has done in talking up Blu-ray as a format over HD DVD. The perk to owning it would solely be for visitors though. I would watch it once I get it and then stick it on the shelf until someone comes along and says, "Hey, let's watch Transformers on Blu-ray".

I doubt anyone could tell the difference between lossless and well mastered DD+ if you did a blind test.

I kept hearing that over at AVS and personally, no offense, I think that is a bunch of crap. I read an article about a week ago and they said most people can't hear the difference between 64kps MP3 and 256kps MP3 and if this is your idea of "no real difference" then my god man put your $99.00 HTIB away and get some exposure to real equipment.
