To go even one step further, I have very few dramas in my collection. I love dramas and watch a lot of dramas but I don't really want to re-watch them all the time and thus don't want to own them. There are exceptions of course... absolute favorites and great directors... but most of the time I rent dramas. |

I don't mind depressing movies, I guess because they don't really depress me. Just like upbeat movies really don't uplift me. I am more affected by the meaning than the mood. I have no problems revisiting movies like Schlindler's List, as long as it is a great movie than sure, why not. I'll get a lot of things out of it the second time around that I missed earlier.

Schindler's List has a feel-good ending and is mostly a story about one guy doing good in the face of evil so I guess I don't find it very depressing, unlike a story about a guy totally self-destructing and bringing everyone else down with him. I guess the plot arc usually determines how I react to something.

I decided to swap my Twilight Time titles over to black cases, so I figured I'd take a pic of a few of them to show what they look like:
![]() ![]() The cases are 14mm, so a few of them have a little bleed over (not all of them, though, for some reason). It's not too noticeable, though. |

I did want to do Scream Factory in black, but the cases are 14mm so they would rip the slip covers. I do have a few black Viva Elites, but I doubt I'll ever have enough to make up for it. So I did TT in black since the spines are all black and they don't have reversible artwork.

On its own merits, not a noteworthy cover. But compared to what was before, it's a SIGNIFICANT improvement. Neutral is better than bad (even if it was based on an original poster). Thank you, TT, for altering the design.

I very much liked the original cover for Love and Death. I thought it was one of their best.
As for why it was changed at the last minute......per a post on TT's Facebook page to those expressing a preference for the originally announced cover art: Quote:

The more I've looked at both covers I guess either one is fine. I preffered the original TT cover that some hated but the new one is fine also. plus the fact Allens office asked for the change that means Woody must pay attention to his home video releases. :-) aside from that I hope he is pleased with th HD trabsfers on his classic catalog so far. I just wish a good distributor could make a deal to get a lot of the titles her made thru Miramax released in the US. I can't get myself to pull the trigger on the imports currently.

Allen supposedly strongly dislikes bonus materials about the making of films. However, I haven't heard anything to suggest he has a issue with home media. I guess this does confirm he's at least aware of these Twilight Time releases.
I too liked the first Twilight Time cover art but this one is fine as well. Either will do and if the first one wasn't approved by Allen himself, I guess it makes sense that Twilight Time changed it. |

Just placed an order for Lenny. Can't wait to revisit it. I can now cross it off my signature list.

I noticed that a Blu-Ray.com member has recently updated the database to indicate that The Seventh Sign is being released by Twilight Time on 10/13/2015, but no references were documented. Has this actually been confirmed by Twilight Time? I did a cursory scan of their recent news and Facebook posts, but didn't find anything.

Woody likes to play it coy. A few years ago he was asked what he thought about the new documentary on his career. Woody said he hadn't even seen it and couldn't comment. The truth was he did see it because he approved of its content.
