Not sure if this has been mentioned already but it looks like TT has a classic WWII film coming across the Ludendorff Bridge sometime in the future.

Question on FB: Earlier this year I read that Twilight Time would be releasing "The Bridge At Remagen". Is that a possibility?
Quote:
Twilight Time Movies: It is.
Another film from director John Guillermin to join Rapture and The Blue Max (sold out) in the TT collection.

I heard that they had it, but I still don't know when. This is a great movie, one of my favorite WWII movies.

I've been on a big Roger Corman kick lately, so I just ordered The St. Valentine's Day Massacre.

I was on the fence about this title and had other priorities when it first became available, but I figured that now is a good time to get off of that fence.

What website has lower shipping Twilight Time or Screen Archives? Or are they the same?

If I remember correctly from my last few orders, Twilight Time's shipping rate was a few pennies cheaper than the Screen Archives shipping rate. You can take the extra money and buy a gum ball out of one of those machines next to a grocery store exit.

You won't regret it. It's a fun (but not funny) gangster film with much better than usual production values for a Roger Corman film.

The St. Valentine's Day Massacre is actually the first TT title I purchased. Unaccustomed to their sales and the speed in which certain titles sell, I ordered it rather hastily.

It's all good though, as it's a total blast and looks phenomenal on Blu-ray. Corman was given $1 million dollars and he still came in under-budget while delivering a colorful, fun, and astoundingly accurate profiling of the people and events involved in the build-up and execution (pun intended) of the infamous gangland slaying.

The movie is bursting with wonderful 60s characters actors in large and small roles, boasts a smart, sprawling screenplay from Howard Browne, and has its "i's" dotted with crisp, clinical narration from the legendary Paul Frees. If the movie has one misstep (and it's a major one), it's the egregious miscasting of Robards as Capone. Robards was far too old and bore nothing in the way of physical resemblance to Public Enemy #1. He embraces the role with relish, however, and his bellicose, swaggering performance suits the tone of the movie.

I'm not a romantic type and The St. Valentine's Day Massacre is a must for me every mid-February (along with slasher emeritus My Bloody Valentine, naturally.) Easily one of TT's most underrated releases, and definitely the best cinematic rendition of February 14th, 1929.

So I got an email from TT about the September pre-orders going live this afternoon, and they also mentioned the following:

Quote:
As October approaches, sales of the last remaining copies of John Carpenter's Vampires have increased. Please don't miss your opportunity to own this film.
They don't say how many are left, but if you don't have it and want it (it's not one that I am hot to get) you might want to take this into account.

Be aware that VAMPIRES is owned by the newly-formed Indicator label in the UK which is looking to be a pretty serious contender in the boutique market, with quality encodes and original extras. It's likely to be released in 2017. Just FYI.

I just pre-ordered...

9 to 5
Murphy's Law
Eye of the Needle
From Noon Till Three
Remo Williams: The Adventure Begins

Eye of the Needle and the two Bronson flicks were top priority, but I've always wanted to see the other two films as well.

Thankfully, nothing in next month's Twilight Time queue jumps out at me.

I bought Nine to Five only because I was concerned it would sell out before they ever included it in one of their sales. Then again, I'm shocked that Yentl is still available two years after its release. I would have thought Streisand fans would have snapped that up.

Only 9 to 5 for me and I'm really looking forward to seeing it on Blu-ray! It's one of the titles I'd been hoping for for a long time.

I want to order 'eye of the needle', it'll be my first ever purchase of a 'TT' title, but being from the UK with shipping, that comes in at $45 (some £34) plus I'm liable for 'import' duty, putting the total over £40 I've never spent more than £16 for a single title.

It's not as if I've not seen the film before, so what's the chances of this getting a UK release soon?

Do "TT" have a minimum time period set before anyone else can release the film?

Thanks.
